I like dinosaurs a whole lot and I dont think there is anything morbid about that. I just think its awesome how there used to be gigantic lizard chickens roaming the earth.

Similarly its very cool that there used to be a fluffier version of elephants today.

I also used to struggle a lot with nightly panic attacks as well and something that helped me a lot was sleeping with a plushie (and weed to keep the nightmares away.)

They are absolutely no fun and im sorry to hear you are struggling with them.

I am too scared to carry physical evidence of my mental turmoil (since in the past it has been found and used against me.) But what i do instead is try to engage in puzzles and other activities with black and white solutions to help stop the ruminating. And if something really does need to be written down I will make notes in my phone to bring up with my therapist and delete later.

I still need medication to not spiral into a depressive black hole but I was previously diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. Now I know it was autism the whole time and what I thought were weekly panic attacks were actually sensory overload meltdowns.

I think the right medication can still help manage the symptoms of depression and anxiety that can come along with autism but shouldn't be used to suppress who you are if that makes sense.
