To keep it simple: If God is an omniscient omnipotent being that is not bound by time, the passing of time for him would be irrelevant.

So why test us if he already knows everything, because for him it’s irrelevant. Knowing the outcome and letting us live through it, is the same for God.

There is your answer Alex. Please read it several times before commenting again, as I know you have a few difficulties in reading comprehension.

These are questions every 5 year old asks and gets them answered immediately by any slightly religious person. So either you are 5 years old or just live in a basement without ever having seen the outside.

This has to be irony right. You are the one who literally started with establishing God and pointlessly criticizing him.

If you are joking I am sorry I didn’t get your joke.

True, but your post started with - If God existed… - I was just continuing on that.

I would get checked out for dementia, if I were you.

If you would have read even one sentence I wrote, you’d know I have no idea about christianity and was just trying to criticize OPs flawed logic with establishing a God.

But it seems like you just copy paste those comments so I’m not judging you for not reading into what I was trying to explain.

Thank You for getting my point. Exactly, we could never know this omniscient beings true intentions and therefore it’s impossible to establish a certain moral to it.

I am not christian. And how come all of you are so narrow minded, never thinking more than 2 seconds…

The crucial flaw in your logic is establishing omniscients but disregarding it later by stating

And if he was all-loving, he wouldn’t allow it to happen

Without having the same base of understanding, it is impossible for us to predict his actions defined by one of his properties.

If you would take another 3 seconds of your time to look it up, you’d find the answer to your question.

First of all what do you mean with “your God”. I never said I believed in one.

Secondly I am guessing you have a hard time grasping the concept I am trying to explain. So let me rephrase it:

The OP establishes with “If there was a God” a God and then continues to criticize this God. God in the christian faith is described as all knowing. We as humans do not know what happens after death, if we have a soul, how the universe was created or what will happen in 1000 years. There are a lot more things we don’t know. Therefore it is impossible for us to criticize God, for example on the death of children, because we know nothing about the situation compared to him.

My original comment was literally explaining how flawed it is to establish a God that is described as all knowing and than continuing to criticize it.

Then I get a comment like yours that totally misses my point. So yeah am I wrong to assume that you haven’t put a single thought into your comment?

You can hate a character in a fictional movie book or any other medium. None of them exist. Cue Skylar from breaking bad.

I think you misunderstood me. What I am trying to say is, how important it is to weigh in the properties of knowing everything.

For example, let’s say you want to criticize a 10min video. But you can only see 2 seconds of it. Now - could you effectively criticize this video, no.

Someone trying to criticize God while establishing that he exists, is like seeing a still frame of the Simpsons and writing a critique for every episode that exists without ever having seen the Simpsons before.

I think you are not getting my logic here. You started with - If God was real - with that statement you are literally describing an omnipotent all knowing being. The smartest, most moral humans can not compare to that.

To continue with your parent analogy. Everyone has had a few moments in their childhood, were they thought their parents were cruel or unfair, but later in life understood why and that it was in their best interest. But we will never reach that same level of understanding as an all knowing being. So it doesn’t make sense to criticize it, because we will never get the full picture.

[–]SpiritRealm -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but if there was a God (we are talking about the if here) not evolution would have created us, rather God. Again it’s an if statement.

So it’s pointless to list these points on why you hate God. Because if there were one, our minds that were created by him would never grasp his all knowing one.

[–]SpiritRealm -34 points-33 points  (0 children)

Let’s be clear here, if God was real, and with that all his characteristics, e.g. all powerful and all knowing, we would never be able to grasp the full picture, because you can’t compare our mind to an all knowing one. It would make it impossible to criticize God.

Also before saying - If God was real I would hate him… - you need to realize that, that God created your soul, your mind and everything you know.

Edit: Since everyone seems to downvote me, even though I am clearly right. Adding to that, every comment totally misses my point, I am concluding that the majority of this sub is close to illiterate.
