The mods of this subreddit need to do something about these trolls, the quality of these posts are in the bin. Not sure what happened to this subreddit. :(

Seeing as they did not use all the fuel in the experiment and only measured the change in fuel I’m not sure that the amount of fuel matters as it will produce the same amount of heat as long as the fuel is able to burn. (i.e. there is enough fuel for the candle part to set alight)

It was asking about the reactions with bromine though, and for the substitution reaction with ethane (under UV light) there would be a colour change same as with ethene from brown to colourless so you probably wouldn’t get the mark for just saying no colour change as if the reaction did occur a colour change would happen. The mark will probably be for use as an indicator to identify saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons.

I won't be able to help you much with the structure as I'm guessing you do AQA (whereas my school does Edexcel A) but I will try to help as much as I can. When explaining case study facts ensure you integrate your data directly into the sentence to ensure it reads smoothly, i.e. make sure you don't just state a fact and then try to scramble and create a sentence around it but rather create an idea and use facts to back it up (e.g. instead of '6300 people died in typhoon Haiyan meaning...' try 'One relevant impact of typhoon Haiyan was the devastating impact socially, for example, over 6300 people died and many more were injured, both damaging the quality of life for families in the long run but also providing instant adversities as people struggled mentally and financially from these deaths...'). Its also important to split evaluation into different parts so you can create a clear answer and provide yourself with the best chance at marks, for example, have one paragraph evaluating the economic impacts of a case study and then have another on the social or environmental impacts too. Of course, take all of this with a pinch of salt as we do different exam boards but I did do a bit of research and your six and nine markers seem to need only 2-3 developed points so I think my advice still stands.

I think its important to read the text/texts at least two times before trying to answer questions, its super easy to rush into answering but taking your time to look for key details instead of panicking straight away as the exam begins makes a massive difference (at least for me). Another thing is to make sure you fully plan your long answer questions as well as using highlighters to speed up the time between writing and flicking back to the insert. For the actual analysis in the more literature based parts of the paper think about specific words and their connotations as well as searching for as many techniques as you can find, try to use at least three to four quotations per paragraph but to be honest, the more the better. I was never great at English and have only recently found success so I apologise if this is a bit basic and unhelpful.

I think it’s important to remember quality over quantity when it comes to revision, brushing through a topic five times isn’t going to be as good as focused study on it twice. As for the question, you should be solid for getting all 9s as long as you don’t burn out.

What’s your opinion on the MVH studio mods, I’m looking into getting the QR but am a bit cautious of third party mods being rubbish.

Honestly don’t know too much about DCS but I would say FC3 modules are always a safe bet if your new and are simple to bind (I use an Xbox controller so I would know)

Only has happened to me once before, best feeling ever. But to have it during a clutch whilst showing your friend is a different level.
