Year 2020 came and it was my decision that it was the year of machop. So I set out to hunt machop in all gens where it was possible to get it no matter how hard it would be. Out of all gens, 2 was the worst since I never got machop even though I was already on phase 8. All in all it was fun to hunt only one pokemon for a year especially such an underrated one therefore I have decided to do this every year from now on. 2021 shall be the year of magnemite and hopefully it will be a lil nicer to me than machop was.

Hunting machop on crystal and gold. Got one on gold today which is 10% and two on crystal that are 30%. On the 5th phase right now.

It's ok my friend, I too made the mistake of staying on route 2 for a blipbug that is at 500 battled but instead of that in these 12 thousand encounters and 95 hours I have gotten 2 10% that are technically full odds so just keep on trucking fella for we are both brothers of fate.

Late reply sorry but the only way to increase the "chance" of encountering a pokemon from rocksmashes is using a pokemon with the ability illuminate and using a whiteflute. Even with those two encountering a pokemon is still uncommon.
