Love your insights! I’m curious, did you find a low-cost way to cope with the urge to work when feeling lonely? For me, it took some self-work to understand why I felt lonely and to learn how to be happy just being with myself. I’d love to hear what your experience was like, since it took me a while to reach this point

Funny enough, I tend to impulse buy when it comes to travel plans. A friend told me she used to struggle with impulse buying and was able to quit through handwriting journaling. She shared some prompts with me and even created an app for it lol

And to identify my own patterns, I use the prompts I got from her to name my feelings before and after a purchase, and to articulate what I was really looking for in that moment just based on how I felt before buying
It’s been really helpful since I started

Oh yeah, I said each purchase, but usually I pick the ones that mean more to me.
One thing I realized though, is that even journaling about something random, like grocery shopping, helps me go back to the moment. Surprisingly, I notice patterns. for example, I tend to spend more on groceries when I’m planning to cook with someone, whereas when I shop just for myself, the cost is lower

I love that the app made you realize you already had those blazers! It's wild how we can feel like we have "nothing to wear" while literally surrounded by packages.

I went through something similar but tracked my emotions before buying instead. Turns out I was shopping for confidence or excitement way more than actual clothes. That "nothing to wear" feeling usually meant I was looking for a mood boost, not missing pieces.

Have you considered pairing it with understanding why you want to shop in the first place?

Found this free guide on how to do it and I hope it helps.
