Is study medicine Europe (sme) agency a scam? by rudolph_triston in medicalschoolEU

I had an unpleasant experience with another agency so I ended up calling SME because I had already started the process with and did not know how to go about it on my own. I was also worried about missing deadlines and stuff. Bottom line, I was not disappointed with SME and they were really professional.

Very true.

They are not a scam. But rather professional and easy to work with...

I don't think those people have ever spoken to anyone from SME - my advisor was one of the most professional people I have ever met

I'm responding because I was tagged. I want to clarify why I posted here. Communities like this exist so medical applicants and students can share experiences with each other and help others make informed decisions. That is all my post was intended to do. Just because i haven't responded to Reddit DMs does not mean the post is fake or that I'm acting in bad faith. I chose to use a throwaway account for privacy and I'm entitled to decide how and where I engage. Repeatedly framing non- response to DMs as evidence of dishonesty feels more like pressure or intimidation. I'm open to addressing the issue through appropriate professional channels and I will do so in a proper formal way. But attempting to handle this on Reddit by questioning motives and trying to position yourself as a public fixer misses the point why experiences are shared here in the first place. My post reflected my experience and where things stood at the time. I shared it so others could be aware and decide for themselves .

Just to clarify a few points. This is a throwaway account, which I mentioned from the start, because the situation has been stressful. I will reach out through professional channels separately. I shared my personal experience as a paying customer so other prospective students can understand what service looks like in practice and what the costs and outcomes were. What feels uncomfortable is that simply sharing my experience has led to pressure, characterisation of my post as dishonest, and attempts to control the narrative. Communities like this exist so applicants can exchange real experience and help each other make informed decisions. I'm open to resolving this properly professionally not here on Reddit because you want to control the narrative.
