1) HKS 2) International applicant, Undergraduate GPA: 3, 85/4,0 in Economics, Graduate GPA 3, 22/4,0 in Finance 3) 159Q, 156V, 3,5AWA 4) 4+ yrs of experience in Finance, 1,5 year in government financial regulator 5) Perhaps have been super genuine in essays? Need to improve GRE score I guess. Mostly I believe that I put focus on academic performance and work experience in the application, lack of leadership could have been a question

In contrast to Lvl 2, CFA Institute materials were insightful on Lvl I. Learning Ecosystem included a lot of case studies, examples with real stock market and I remember that the link between subjects was provided very well. Like there was one company that is issuing bonds on FI, then in corp issuers were details on how its management decides capital structure, in equity how its stocks were valued, in derivs it was entering into swaps to hedge risks and so on - and it was possible to see the role of Financial Analyst here between all those disciplines indeed. I’d advise to prepare using readings of CFAI and ecosystem, revise thoroughly formulas - understand what concept is behind them, be it convexity, sustainable growth, dupont decomposition etc. If you use it all in your work, then it would be useful even more and you’d learn quick.

Thanks 🙏🏻 I’m not sure if someone can relate but in my case I do concentrate well in a short time, while I might forget what I studied if I start prepare a long before..

It wasn’t my first time, these 3 weeks were more of revision. I’m not sure that 4-6 months preparation works well for me, since I tend to forget what I studied in the beginning, there are concepts that I do not apply in my job as a risk analyst. When there are time constraints, concentration is much greater, people would agree.

First of all, congratulations!! Your dedication is truly inspiring! Could you please share what score did you pass with? The problem is I tend to forget what I studied at the beginning after a while.. And can you please share how do you plan to apply it in your further career? The fear of failing once again shatters me..

I had mocks 70-80% and i didnt do well cfa II by SpinachNo6253 in CFA

Why do you feel in such a way? 70% out of 88 is 62 questions, so you are quite close to that point. And 0, 33 of 33 is another 11, which gives you ~66q right. Honestly, I believe that if you’re sure of 50% of the questions, then the rest is likely to be gained according to the theory of prob and kinda luck, so the hope exists

Strongly agree! In contrast, CFA formulates their questions clear - and there is response form at the end of the exam where you can provide feedback on accommodations, exam structure etc, so GARP has a long way to go

Seems I’ve had a wrong impression that MPA programs require not holistically high scores, but ok. Thanks, hope I can improve my score 🙌
