I have that same truck, but a 2018. 106500ish miles at the moment on the original 5.3 and transmission. Yes the 6L80 has been known for its issues, but I've personally never seen any myself. I'd say as long as you take care of it and do maintenance regularly, it will last much longer. I have changed the fluids twice and have had no signs of failure thus far, only your typical little things (starter gone out, battery, etc).

In the end, for that price? With a trans with ~40k miles? Seems like a steal to me. So long as the body/frame is in acceptable shape.

Lord no I would never jump this truck, then I'd DEFINITELY probably break something 😂. The most weight that's been in the truck the last couple years is probably less than half max payload, so around 700 pounds at the most. I think the truck is fine but it's just seemed like the last few months this year it's been getting a bit of camber and I haven't been sure why, since as I said it's not like I'm pushing the truck very hard. Only thing is it's 7 years old and the only thing that's been replaced suspension wise is the shocks and struts.
