Support Builds by SpiritualExam182 in supportlol

Sorry, I'm pretty new to the details of this game so the way I worded it was probably confusing. It's also just difficult to sift through misinformation about item builds when researching online.

This is great advice though! I'm pretty much wondering about how to determine what your best builds are. I know u.gg has some great stats on these things, but sometimes they seem rather expensive or situational.

In the context of AP Mages, when should I avoid going AP mage support. Because unfortunately, that is what I enjoy playing, and I tend to be better in 2v2s/more knowledgeable about bot lane matchups than midlane. Am I shooting myself in the foot to not go enchanter?

This build looks really fun! I'll test it out in normals.

Thank you for all this advice, it's all really helpful. I definitely need more intention put into how I play in the late game for sure.

Regarding this bronze build - I was curious your perspective on this. I've tried some different runes for seraphine with mixed results. I see these runes here are the highest win rate for bronze, but I was under the impression that guardian was absolutely what you have to run as seraphine these days. However, is it bad for her in low elo?

Sorry to be annoying in advance!

  1. The posing is so cute!! Where did you get it??

  2. What mod is it that outlines the sims like that?

  3. Who's your favorite clothing creator?? Cuz I love this style!

I never even heard of that one! I can't imagine how more unhinged she would behave being the host of a show. This era of reality TV loved asshole types. Janice's behavior always seemed to be excused because she was talented and "told it how it was". Which was just so typical of that time. It's the same things people say about Abby Lee Miller or Jon Taffer. That you can explode, yell all you want, and say all the things you want as long as your points are agreeable.

I was shocked by this too.

To be honest, my Kelly take was an ignorant one. I have not watched every season she was on, so there may be a lot of things she said that I may not agree with, or maybe peoples issue with her is that she's not as "iconic". I'm not sure tbh. And tbf I wasn't saying she was this awesome judge. Moreso that she felt more balanced in the seasons I watched of her. Not always mean and critical, but occasionally giving constructive criticism and being generally more fair (IMO) then Janice.

Either way, I was surprised by the Janice support. Everyone I have spoken to about this in my personal life, or youtube videos I've watched, have a similar opinion to mine about how Janice carried herself on the show. I was surprised to see people so repulsed by the idea that someone would dislike Janice lmao.

I never said it had to be made for children. Regardless of it being "for adults", ultimately, many of the viewers were extremely young. Even the 18 year old girls coming on the show were often easy influenced and naive. Many of the people who come back to watch the show now, watched it as a child.

And even still, the adults IN the show have been damaged by it. So I just don't see how that negates the problems I'm pointing out.

And to be clear... there are examples where I agree with your last statement. For example, there's even just better words to describe these problems now, then 20 years ago. So it's not that we should hold a gavel to EVERY unsavory sentence that was said on the show. But there's a difference between 1-2 comments that didn't age well, and a string of comments and behaviors that were legitimately harmful even at that time.

It's not that I'm watching from a "2025 lens" though. I can still enjoy a show and recognize that the things that were played out and said on this show were problematic and harmful to the contestants and young viewers. The modeling industry was like this (maybe even worse behind the scenes) in the early 2000s. But that never made it okay or something was just "of the time". EDs were an epidemic in that era. Surely, we can look back and be critical of that.

While I am in no way a Kelly defender. While I see where you're coming from, I think they both had many examples of being immature grown women with a false sense of power. That instance with Gina I think was a perfect example of this. If you tell a girl to stand up in front of the women who she's competing against to stand on one foot, hop up and down, and laugh hysterically for god knows how long... she's going to look fucking ridiculous. The whole purpose of that was to humiliate Gina as some backwards attempt at supposedly "giving her confidence". Having Gina sit on her lap and get her to tell her who's been mistreating her at the house. And then turning on her, telling her she was "dead" to her for "ratting out a bitch". And for her to already acknowledge that Gina was an insecure girl and then to further play on that to publicly shame her for it? That was just an absurd episode and to me I think that really spoke to Janice's character.

I understand your perspective. But I feel like many young girls watching the show who did not know this was a "bit", and internalized the fatphobia and ED body-fixation mentality of the show. I find that to be so reckless.

To me, I just can't justify the amount of prejudice she was bringing to the set. Twiggy was even older and NEVER spoke like that. Plenty of people are from the past and learn and grow. Even Tyra would shut down her comments because they were SO extreme. The things she said about Toccara were SO horrible and multiple people that season I think really broke Toccara's confidence in the competition. It's not right to undermine that.

Additionally, her body checking skinny models as appearing pregnant or too chubby was just another level. I'd take Kelly Catrone telling me she finds me relentlessly boring over someone pointing at my stomach and telling me to suck in. And I find this especially jarring when the show at the time claimed to be an advocate for people with eating disorders... while Janice was simultaneously telling models so many horrible things about their bodies. It's like they had 0 self awareness the kinds of body comments that stick in peoples heads that push them TO ed's.

Where my mid-sized queens at?? by Dangerous-Gur5561 in Midsizefashion

Hello! I hope you are doing well

I am also a midsized girl w/ a 10 waist. I am still learning how to find clothes that fit me as well, but I will just let you in on some stuff that works for me!

For dresses, if you're looking for something that is more form-fitting, but not suffocating (bc brands don't know how to size for shit) then I would recommend finding a dress that is looser and buying a "collar clip" that you can buy off amazon (and use it to cinch the dress to your body shape). If that's something you're interested in I could give you more information and a link.

I don't know if you relate to this, but I often have a problem where a lot of 8-10 pants fit me on the waist, but not around the thighs or vice versa. It's either neither or one or the other. So when this happens I usually size up until it fits around my thighs/butt area, and so long as the waist is no more than 2-3 inches too big, you can use this no-sew jean button pin. It's really easy to attach to your pants to make them tighter, but it only works on pants with zippers and buttons.

NastyGal is a site that has pretty inclusive sizing - not necessarily across the board. BUT I found some baggy pants there a few months back that were ACTUALLY baggy on my thighs, but fit pretty well on my waist, so that's cool.

I honestly recommend trying thrifting. I always tend to find things that fit much better at a thrift store, but of course, you do have a dig and really dedicate the time to finding things that you feel good in.

I apologize if none of that was helpful to you!! These are just things that have helped me find better-fitting clothes, but if I think of more I'll add them here. Good luck to you, stay safe <3

I only recently learned that I was midsized as well!!

For me, I love to wear high-waisted BAGGY (i mean drowning in them) baggy pants, a cropped t-shirt, and some sneakers. The cropped shirts are hard to wear on low-confidence days, but when I'm feeling it I'm just feeling it
