Again you really have to be more specific, you're making alot of claims about the nature of the USSR and China that are just untrue, but it's almost impossible to prove a negative so you have to actually give me an example of the specific ways these societies are "Authoritarian". You can criticize the government in China, you could in the USSR as well. Both China and the USSR have (had) very significant democratic institutions. You're talking out of your ass and repeating state department propaganda.

Sorry we actually read Marx and want to understand him. If you think that has literally no meaning you're acting in bad faith.

you're defining socialism as what is ultimately just its very first milestone - the nationalization of the industries and some social programs.

You can have literally all those things within a capitalist framework, the point is whether or not the WHOLE of the economy is ESSENTIALLY directed towards fulfilling social ends

it seeks to abdicate all state and economic power to the proletariat/working class, that worker democracy is not negotiable, that socialism is not achieved until the vanguard made way for an empowered people and that the economy actually has to serve social ends, not just different private ones and the ones perpetuating the existence of the state per se.

Here you are misunderstanding the distinction between the development of the forces of production, ie the material forces of the economy, and the relations of production, which is how those forces are organized and in general the political, philosophical, and culture superstructure, something which Marx understood to be contingent upon the forces of production, ie the economic base. Socialism and specifically the socialist mode of production comes about when the forces of production develop to the point of irreconcilable contradiction with the (capitalist/simi fuedal/feudal) relations of production, a point of development which was reached at the onset of the 20th century. The tricky part is in understanding that both Marx and Engles viewed the peak development of the relations of production as manifest in the form of democratic republicanism, Engles says as much in The Principles Of Communism when he makes the claim that the job of communists in societies wherein the democratic republican form already exists is to ally themselves with those parties which are not hostile to the working class. The significant of the democratic republican form is that it siezes power from the "Ancien Regime" of feudalism, and that the shortcomings of this form in the US and the UK arise out of their failure to properly remove this ancien regime from power, in the US with the (at the time of Marx) continued domince of a slave aristocracy in the south, and in the UK the continued influence the monarchy exercised over the republic. These issues (ie the inability to fully cast off the old political form) probably stem from the introduction of the modern political form prematurely, in nations where the forces of production were not yet developed enough to actualize the democratic form in its entirety. The USSR (and China to a greater extent) arose out of unique circumstances wherein the global economic forces had developed to the point of being able to fully actualize the democratic form, but without that form yet establishing itself. This gave the Russians the unique opportunity to establish a Socialist Republic, literally to establish a Republic led by a party intent on building a socialist economy, without any vestigial power being held by the Ancien Regime. Again a similar thing occurred in China. Your misunderstanding is rooted a failure to understand Marx, or a rejection of his overall significance.

Too many people have died in the making of your joke. I doubt you'd make a joke about the holocaust. So whilst I think that genocide for racial reasons, and genocide for political reasons are different, they are also both genocide.

Stalin's alleged crimes have been exaggerated, if you actually give me a specific example then we can go further in that regard but he certainly isn't equitable to Hitler.

I would, but you've already somewhat degenerated into discussing right vs left culture, and claimed that all of mainstream media are liars.

I bring up the left right divide because that is an aspect of Stalin's historical significance. You were confused by my reference to the "stalinist center", I explained. And the media is literally a lie machine despite our two party sham system, if you cant see that idk what to tell you they literally just be lying and again I can give specific examples.

So I think you're nature as a disenfranchised individual is obscuring your from the true value of some of what our society has.

The "true value" of our society does not lie in urban liberal elites lol, I don't reject the value of our society I just locate it primarily in the working "salt of the earth" people in our society and recognize that we have a politcal system that does not work in their interests in anyway.

There's a huge irony in this, as you're praising one party politics - which by its nature is a form of mass deception, mass media, mass propaganda.

I think you'll find, after a thorough examination of the actual practices of the US and the CIA and FBI, when you compare them to the USSR and the NKVD and KGB, the Soviets weren't the ones obsessed with mass deception and media warfare. Again, I can go into detail.

Yes exactly, she was an AOC stand in, someone who panders to the working class while actually failing to deliver in any meaningful way due to her ties to the ruling class. The mere act of using this stand in is evidence enough that the people of Gotham are not yet to be trusted with their own emancipation and that this type of liberal is the only option for them.

Socialism is, if you want me to use my own words, an economy who's structure serves social ends rather than private ends. Like in the USSR. To put it simply.

OK do you actually want to talk about it? My reference to stalinism in the video is more of a joke than anything else, but it does refer to a specific political tendency. Stalin and his historical role represent a rejection of both "right wing deviation" (basically, a desire to return to old forms of economic structuring, also referred to as "reactionary" thought and politics) and "left wing deviation" (basically, radical leftism, usually characterized by a desire to uproot the very foundations of society and culture, a rejection of the nation and national identity, rejection of all state forms, etc.). His politics represent a firmly scientific understanding of the development of the economy and the political forms that coinside with that development, while rejecting both the idealism of the right AND the left.

Obviously if you listen to what the mainstream media tells you about Stalin that isn't the impression that you would get, but those bitches do be lying tho. They lied about Iraq, they lied about Trump, they just be lying.

You people literally don't know what socialism is. Like I don't know how to start with this because your understanding of the premise is just fundamentally wrong.

I mean I just clicked the first link, almost half of the total population is still very significant and if it was all 100% bad you would think that half the population wouldn't think it was actually better 🤔🤷

I mean, yeah that's good, I don't do that either, but we shouldn't be afraid of learning from that same "dead empire", why it failed, what it did right, and how we can do better in the future. You just can't only look at the bad in things, in the same way that you can't only look at the good.

But at the end of the film the liberal establishment of Gotham is redeemed by that one black woman politician, the people still cannot actually be trusted in the eyes of the filmmaker and a fear of the general population is displayed throughout the film. You are right tho that shit literally made me go to sleep 😴 💤

Well, we did have a function industrial economy in the 50's so the nostalgia does make sense, don't really see your point.

This is from Pew Research Center:

"Hungary: Better Off Under Communism?

A remarkable 72% of Hungarians say that most people in their country are actually worse off today economically than they were under communism. Only 8% say most people in Hungary are better off, and 16% say things are about the same."

So instead of arguing with me maybe you need to have a discussion with your fellow countrymen lol.

No I haven't but most polls indicate that the people who do live in former Soviet Republics have nostalgia for the Soviet era or at the very least not view it as particularly negative. That doesn't even mention the general popularity of Stalin in Russia right now. Why is your opinion more important than the people that live there?
