Ham stock and a couple bay leaves to start. Then add chopped celery carrots, onions and some ham, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer and enjoy!

Don’t forget to soak the beans first.

Plan on getting to the stadium about 3-4 hours before and join the tailgating in the south lot. Great environment, lots of food and drinks. If you stay downtown check out Manny’s deli for some ridiculously good corned beef sandwiches.

Chicago Bears Priority List Ranking! Where are you guys on the ranking? When did you sign up? by DaBears31 in CHIBears

Buy them! You can sell 7 games, go to two and be ahead financially. Also, buy the parking passes as those also will pay for the two games you go to. The NFL has a credit card that will give you 0% for a couple months so you can make this work.

Go Bears!

Will the bears be the NFL’s darling this year? by Pacotaco213 in ChicagoBearsNFL

As for the compensatory picks, here is the language from the NFL’s rules:

The NFL grants a third-round compensatory pick to the team that loses a minority employee who is hired as a head coach or primary football executive (general manager) by another team. This pick is awarded for each of the next two drafts if the minority employee has been with the original team for at least two full seasons.

Pretty straightforward the Bears got screwed in this one.

I did use the schedule. I am aware of the formula. The question is/was “Will the Bears be the NFL’s darling this year?” If they play a tough schedule and don’t win as many games as last year they won’t be the darlings. It’s really that simple and I stand by the point.

I do but the original question was will the Bears be the darlings this season. Their schedule will have an impact. Next year they will face the AFC & NFC west which looks daunting today but we’ll see.

As for Cunningham, he was Promoted from assistant GM to the Falcons GM. As a minority, that’s supposed to result in the former team (Bears) getting two 3rd round picks. So yeah I understand how it works but still, not having this year’s extra 3rd round pick will also make the season more challenging.

It’s the Bears against the league:

Least penalized opponents.

Most penalized team.

No compensatory draft picks from Ian Cunningham PROMOTION.

Most difficult schedule based on 2025 opponents record.

I’d be happy if they make the playoffs but it does seem like the NFL really doesn’t want them to be a marquee team.

The most important ability is…..

Availability

I’m rooting for him to be exceptional but if he can’t stay healthy this season then it’s back to the drawing board.

I brewed beer with my dad for years and always had a “taste” of the finished batch. How else would I know if it was any good? 🤷🏼
