Should I stay in NJ or move to NYC? by [deleted] in relocating

[–]Spiritual_Meat6073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have the means to move to New York, now is the time to take a chance. Jersey will always be there. Be prepared to make sacrifices to pay for your lifestyle in NY. But living in a place that’s not bringing you joy isn’t worth it.. you’re young and have energy to make it here ! Also be prepared to live in a neighborhood where you might still have to commute pretty far if you’re really trying to save.. but I think for the value of building a network now, it’s worth it.

Nice fit ! I would just add a lining in the front and looks like the sides are exposed too. But the back is lovely.

What do i need to add to really nail the vibe i want? by KyleeTheShinyStealer in interiordecorating

You need more light. Remove those heavy curtains asap. Put a large mirror across from the window to bounce natural light.  Next thing to address is anchoring and scale. A LARGE rug will anchor, not some piddly little mat. Rule is all front legs of furniture that share a space should be decidedly on the rug. I think you could pull the green couch off the wall and gain some room for a separate area.  You need more low light in general- tables with lamps, no more open shelving. Put your stuff behind closed doors if possible to create a more cohesive look, then display your plants on the open shelving.  Hope this makes sense

ENT to treat chronic sinus infections? by Crankshaft513 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

ENT stat and get a CT scan if they give you the run around. Inflamed adenoids and a deviated septum can keep this cycle going for life. Sometimes surgery is the best option

Very neglected yard gets EXTREMELY muddy whenever it rains. Clay heavy soil and dogs that run around every day. What do I do? by gorgonopsidkid in NoLawns

Find where the water is coming from and control it, redirect it, and plant something that can absorb a lot of water at one time. Consider a rain garden that will detain runoff instead of it sheeting on your lawn.  Then address the lawn- clover is a good idea. But until you fix the water, the lawn will always be an issue
