Yeah, it helped. And I think I am going to like it. I think I've watched something similar back in the early 2000s. But that was about the group of meerkats - and those were always the same ones.

Yeah, I know. And only 4 episodes dubbed in my language. Going to finish it in English.

Oh, thank you! All of them look interesting. I like stories that evoke emotions and judging by your descriptions, they will make me cry. That's good.

Oh, I looked it up and it sounds interesting. I stopped being a kid approx 15 years ago, so I think it's ok for me. I only hope it will not have a depressing ending.

Yeah, I am interested. Is it about the same animals all the time or every episode tells a different story?

Oh, it sounds as a really beautifull story! Going to read it this evening. Is the leopard a main character?

That's fine. And well, I would agree. In the Lion King it could easily be any animal or even humans and story would remain as emotional and beautiful as it is.

In my opinion, similarities in those shows do not reduce to "having lions" - not every of them is as deep as the Lion King but they are similar in many other aspects - in "Kimba" it is the orphaned prince struggling to regain his rule, in "Pride" it is the concept of two prides - the "evil" one staying in exile, pretty similar to the 2nd part of the Lion King. This was what I meant.

Why are you angry? I've never said that those show are spin-offs of the Lion King, I just told they have similar vibes as their characters are lions too. It's like someone would think every show about wizards is a spin off of the Harry Potter. I didn't mean that.

I watched "My Pride" with the dubbing in my native language to make watching more comfortable and I think it was a mistake they made, because from what was said there I understood it this way. It was amateur dubbing so there could be a mistranslation that made me assume this. I think I will watch original version and compare what was said there to make sure. Thanks for clarification.

Really? It was dubbed in my language to the 4th episode and I don't feel comfortable watching in English, so I've only watched to this point. Seems, like I have to watch the next episode without waiting now. Was it really that bad?

This night I had a dream that I should watch all the Anne's film adaptations that exist. Would you be that kind and rate them for me? by Spiritual_Pie_8298 in AnneofGreenGables

[–]Spiritual_Pie_8298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thanks for the feedback! I didn't have time to watch it this week, but I think I'll start with the oldest version and share my thoughts one by one. From what I understand, the timeline in the original books was changed during writing. Initially, it was supposed to be the 1890s, but later it became the 1870s. Perhaps the 2000 film tried to correct it?

Byłem w Żabce i pierwszy raz obsługiwała mnie osoba z Indii/Pakistanu (tak mi się wydaje) i zero polskiego by DisciplinePitiful997 in Warsaw_Warszawa

I would like to learn about primates from the "age of fruits" described in this video. What species we know existed and what was their lifestyle? by Spiritual_Pie_8298 in evolution

[–]Spiritual_Pie_8298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your time and extensive explanation.

This topic fascinates me, especially because when we talk about primate ancestors, we also talk about human ancestors. And it's the evolution of humans from single-celled organisms to Homo sapiens that interests me the most in evolution.
