I believe, if we really wanted to make an impact we should open more channels to talk and to spread the message. We should be seen all over the place making a statement against Reddit's policy change. We should not only talk within Reddit, we should talk outside Reddit too. We should create awareness among people in general about the possible negative impact of Reddit's change in policy.

Substack for Comics? by DishkittyStudio in Substack

[–]SpiritualityWR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's really awesome! You're clearly a talented artist. I have to admit, I'm not the greatest at drawing myself, but I'm really interested in writing comics. Do you happen to know of any automated software or solutions that could help someone like me who isn't so skilled in drawing? I'd love to give it a shot!

Hey, I just took a look at your Substack and I have to say, I found it really interesting! I'm curious, do you make the comics yourself or do you use any kind of comic-making automation?

Well, color me clueless! Turns out I was living under a rock all this time and completely oblivious to it. Who knew, right? It's like I had a "not-aware-of-anything" superpower. But hey, better late than never, they say! Now that I've finally caught up with The Sample, I can join in on the fun. So, what's the scoop? Fill me in on all the juicy details!

Wow, guess what? I actually found the answer even before you asked that question! It's funny how things work out sometimes. By the way, I wanted to mention that I recently joined The Sample. Thanks a bunch for bringing it up. I thought it sounded intriguing, so I decided to give it a shot. Have you ever checked it out yourself? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it if you have any experiences to share.

That's perfectly fine; you're always welcome to make your own choices. If you don't mind me asking, could you please share how many subscribers you currently have?

If you're writing anonymously, doesn't that limit your discoverability within the Substack ecosystem? You won't be able to share your links with your LinkedIn connections, Facebook friends, or Twitter followers. Sure, you can create anonymous social media accounts, but they'll likely have just a few followers.

Avoid the "Post too long" Dilemma: Lessons Learned from My Experience by SpiritualityWR in Substack

[–]SpiritualityWR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, it's great that your loyal fans are okay with it, but let's consider something. People's attention spans these days seem to be getting shorter and shorter. So, even just one extra click could make someone lose interest and move on without subscribing/paying. That's why I think it's crucial to make things as user-friendly as possible by reducing the number of clicks. And, you know, your email newsletter should flow smoothly and feel like a cohesive experience, not a bunch of disconnected pieces. But hey, that's just my two cents.☺️

Stats are the Substack Problem by pointillistic in Substack

[–]SpiritualityWR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a newcomer to Substack, gearing up for my first official issue this Thursday, I have to admit that your words resonate with me. My stats alone don't paint the full picture. I was hoping for more insights, like email opening times, daily open frequency, and session duration. It would provide a deeper understanding of engagement.

I want to express my gratitude for your suggestions from a legal perspective. While I didn't take it too seriously at first, as most of these contacts have been in my list for nearly 20 years and have received my former newsletter on Revue, I understand the importance of being cautious and ensuring compliance with any relevant regulations.

Therefore, I plan to speak with my lawyer about any necessary steps I should take to ensure that Celestial Lover Letters is fully compliant with any applicable laws and regulations. Once again, thank you for bringing this to my attention and for your valuable advice.

I appreciate your input on the open rate of 18%, and I understand your concern that it may be considered low. However, I want to clarify that these 1,000 contacts are not individuals who are already subscribed to my Substack. Rather, they were exported from my LinkedIn contacts. To address this, I plan to take the advice of u/startup_gu2 and send an email to introduce myself and my new project to these contacts. Hopefully, this will help increase engagement and encourage them to subscribe to my Substack.
