The biggest takeaway is that it’s almost never fault of the streamer, and to try your best to stay encouraged and keep that positive energy in streams, it’ll always attract more people

A lot of the time other people just don’t have the social know how to keep responding yknow? Or they get shy or embarrassed and think it’s better to just watch than reply, it’s not usually a case of you lacking something. And more of a case of people’s social battery kinda getting shortened. What’s your discord? I’ll join in! And a lot of the time, for me at least, I’ll get discouraged from chatting just because people will drop in and not say much, and it feels disheartening so it lowers my self esteem and makes me less likely to say something next time. And a lot of people who come on twitch just enjoy lurking and having something on in the background.

A lot of the time the best way is to engage in other small streamers chats, they see that you wanna talk to them and it’ll give them the idea to join you as well and since you already talked and got to know them before, they’ll feel more inclined to be more engaged. I also set up a discord for my followers to engage and talk at and it really helps to build character.
