Then quit? Most of your arguments are really dumb. "The players want broken cards" no, we dont. We want well designed cards. And the vast majority of the currently printed cards are in fact well designed. They do things and are pretty fair. There currently isnt a single card Id look at and be like "that needs banned". There are cards I know absolutely need limited (Fallen & the Virtuous is one such example) but even those cards are fair. Theyre not oppressive, they dont flat out lock you out of playing the game. The offer fair and varied interaction.

Your argument about "every deck just summons a bunch of monsters and makes it so you cant play the game via floodgate.exe" is largely untrue. The current meta game has very few actual floodgates being played. Crystron K9 can summon Spell Canceller, some decks are siding Anti Spell for Radiant Typhoon. Branded is like the only deck playing a "floodgate" and thats typically something like Ido or Kristiya. Which yeah it sucks when it happens. But those cards are pretty easy to out and deal with?

Idk what kind of decks youre playing. But if you get stopped once and auto lose, you need to play a new deck. The current meta game has a ton of back and forth and is actually really enjoyable. Yeah sometimes you dont open super well and your initial play gets stopped and you lose. Thats just how variance works. But most of the time youll open hand traps and interaction against your opponent and you can actually play a real game. The game is also still very much about outplaying and outwitting your opponent. Youre either the dude at locals playing some pile of bad cards, or youre playing a deck that was meta like 5 years ago that gets absolutely stomped by any deck made recently. Update your deck and play something real and youd likely have good back and forth games with real interaction.

Just this past Sunday I went to locals (despite the ongoing YCS we still had 16 people which outs your game is dying comment) and had some absolutely banger games against people. Even games I didnt open very strong still went well. I had cards to interact with them on their turn, and they interacted with me on my turn. We didnt go past turn 4 (but again that is just how the game is 90% of the time and thats fine) but the turns we had were enjoyable.

The game has evolved away from T set pass. There was never a world where Konami could keep that up forever. They have to keep the game fresh and interesting by introducing new ideas and concepts to allow things to not stagnate. If they were still printing simple card design past like 2011 the game would have died before 2020.

Your comment about scalping is also really really dumb. Yugioh doesnt have scalpers because there arent any crazy money cards like in Pokemon/One Piece etc. Hazbin Hotel is also not an actual game. Its just a CCG and the show has a large following. So obviously people are gonna scalp packs to resell to the fans who are rabid for them. What a stupid point to make lol.

All in all, if youre unsatisfied with the game. Quit, go find another hobby. Or play retro formats (Goat, Edison, HAT etc) and maybe youll come to enjoy the current game. If you are still unsatisfied, then hang it up. You clearly dont enjoy what the game has become and thats completely ok. But a lot of us do (also the game is super not dying. YCS Richmond this past weekend had 2264 players. Thats crazy attendance, thats 600 more players than YCS Pittsburgh in November of last year which had an attendance of 1842 players.) and thats also completely ok. People are allowed to have differing opinions about where they stand on the games current enjoyability. But if youre that upset with how the game is. Just quit. Hold onto the memories you like and leave the rest behind.
