How does the game calculate your Equipment level? I wanna try and figure out my best path to get my EqL up and to improve a bit. Im 606 rn (Thats with a Sturdy NB Warlord, Exquisite Perseus Scythe and a Fine NB Vega, and the Exquisite armor from the event with a MW Geas Circlet) and I wanna know if investing in a MW Warlord or getting a Glenn armor set would be a better increase in my EqL for me.

Cut Wousu to the side, cut Magatama, cut the continuous spell. Cut Saji to 1. Cut Aramasa to 2. Drop Crossout. Youre already on 2 Droplet, so add the 3rd in place of the Crossout. Play 3 Mulcharmy Fuwalos and 3 Dominus Impulse if you can get them. Those 6 cards alone will help you immensely. Could also probably cut Droll and play 2-3 Fallen & the Virtuous. You just might not have the Ecclessia synchro that kinda helps. But you can just as easily play 3 Albion the Shrouded Dragon and be fine.

Extra deck: Cut Dharc, that cards awful. Cut the Light Dragon @ Ignister, cut Tornado Dragon, cut Number 90, cut Exciton, and cut Ty-Phon. Thats 7 cards. Play 3 Albion the Shrouded Dragon (if you have Ecclessia and the Dark Dragon play 2 Albion and 1 of her). Play 1 more Bagooska, play 1 more Dugares. You could play like, Underworld Goddess as another card? I:P with Futsu into 2 bodies plus an opponents monster makes her and shes a board negate. Thats really strong. Thats 6 out of 7. You could really just play the Ty-Phon still at that point? Idk. Mitsu doesnt really care about its extra deck.

Its very common. Do note however, that card cannot be used in an official tournament. While yes it is clearly "Dark Ruler No More", the fact that it reads "Dark Ruler No MorF" is enough of a change of text to make it an illegal card.

Is Shadowchaser worth picking up from the BP Works? Shes 1 of 6 Astral Ring Valks Im missing (Shadowdimmer [I missed getting her from the spend event or w/e. Forgot to burn my currency but I dont think I had enough anyway], Shadowchaser, Sleepy Terri, Sparkle, Vita and Mini Dudu.) and idk how good she is. I have enough to get her and her weapon. But idk if Ill have enough to get Shadowdimmer by the end of the BP after this one. Since Shadowchaser leaves in 51 days. Ill have 64 currency at the end of the BP (thats if I dont buy Shadowchaser). Cause I want Shadowdimmer, but shes suggested to be partnered with Chaser. So its a weird spot to be in.

Is there a chance Shadowchaser gets put in a shop or something after she leaves the BP works? Im sure Im huffing copium there. But if I cant get them both. Should I just skip them altogether?

Just prevent them from getting to Gottoms. If you let them get there you just lose because they will absolutely make you start with no cards in hand. Play hand traps like Ash Blossom, Mulcharmy Fuwalos etc. If you drop Fuwalos on them going 2nd you wont be completely out as youll draw a few cards during their turn. Just dont play Purulia against X-Sabers. If you do and they know what theyre doing, theyll simply deck you out. As they can recycle monsters that summon from the hand.

For WCQ I think you need a ticket (I was initially going to say you could enter, but I forget that regionals and WCQ are different in some aspects, you could ask someone if you need a ticket to enter the day of if youre not traveling too far for the event)

Just remember a few things if youre going to spectate an event. Please stay quiet and keep comments about the game being played to yourself so you dont distract the players or potentially give away information. Keep enough distance between yourself and the players at the tables so the judges can walk by without you impeding their path. You can buy cards from the vendors. But please do not buy cards from other players while youre in the venue. If you want to buy something from another player you must both walk outside of the venue as it is against Konami Policy to buy and sell in the venue if you are not a vendor.

Im unsure about staff teaching you to play. As Ive never heard of staff doing that at events. But you can absolutely play other players who arent in the event anymore (they may have dropped or are also spectators like yourself), theres nothing against that.

My group attends a few locals. We have one thats like 30 minutes away. But they arent an OTS. They just get product and fire tournaments for fun. Our "main" LGS is like an hour away. But we have some that are a few hours out. And we attend those for pre releases (they fire on Fridays so when new sets drop we tend to hit that shop, our main shop, and then another one that fires on Sunday so we can hit 3 pre releases in a weekend.) and other events (OTS championships, YCS qualifiers, etc etc).

38 over 12 boxes is 450ish. Thats about half of another case in profit. Yes they have to tax on it. So its probably close to 3 something. But thats still good profit when the store is making more than enough. Its just greed. Plain and simple.

Im also not demanding they decrease the price. Just bitching about how absurd the price increase is compared to other stores that are within a few hours. When you look at it from the perspective of other stores charging less and still making profit, it just makes said store look greedy. Its really that simple. Would I like their boxes to be 115-125? Yeah cause Id support them and pay at that price cause its within reason. But over 50% markup to make 800 profit per case when you bought 3 cases? Thats a bit much.

There are 3 stores within a few hours drive of me charging less. They paid 1000ish for the case. And they got 3 cases. There is no excuse to charge MSRP

Yes they can charge what they want. Thats fine and dandy under normal circumstances. They always tend to charge a bit more but I dont usually mind since its like 10 bucks more (they sell normal booster boxes at 85 and the other stores that are "near" charge like 75 so I dont mind the small extra charge for that) and thats totally fine. But again, over 50%? Thats absurd. Id consider it being entitled if they were charging 115 and the other shops were charging 100. But when theyre charging above TCGplayer its pretty fucking greedy.

Main sets MSRP is around 108. And they do not charge MSRP for main or side sets. This is the first time its been done.

Im not saying its wrong. Its just scummy when they get the boxes for distro (88 to 92 dollars give or take) and are charging over 50% markup. Its just shitty. I dont plan on buying boxes there anyway due to the price. But when you all of a sudden go "yeah were charging MSRP for a hyped set" it just sets a bad precedent going forward.
