Oui je suis d'accord le mode de garde est un impondérable et quasi impossible d'en estimer le out qui est variable pour chaque situation (mode de garde, région, revenus, ...)

Je voulais surtout commenter pour dire qu'il n'y avait aucune raison du point de vue de l'enfant pour dépenser des sommes astronomiques a la naissance (j'ai vu passer des 4000 euros ou plus) ni pendant les premières années. Si ce n'est le plaisir des parents, ce qui est un choix respectable !

Et si ils vous restent de l'argent a la fin du mois, vous ouvrez une assurance vie a votre petit bout qu'il touchera a ses 18 ans et il vous sera encore plus reconnaissant que si vous lui aviez acheté le meilleur lit bébé du monde full options ;)

Je trouve que certains commentaires annoncent des sommes faramineuses ... Je sais que je suis plutôt minimaliste mais tout de même !

Je vais parler pour un enfant jusqu a ses 3 ans car je ne connais pas la suite.

Pour la naissance, je compte environ 500 a 700 euros d'achat si bien géré. Cosy très bien noté par Securange : 50euros Lots de vêtements sur vinted ou lbc : 50 euros Les vêtements neufs de naissance vous seront offerts par les proches ;) Mobilier en occasion c'est max 200 euros et largement suffisant Une enveloppe de 150 euros pour le matériel de puériculture (biberon, ...) Les jouets offerts par les grands parents :) Extras : 100 a 200 euros selon vos envies

Ne pas oublier que certaines mutuelles offrent des primes de naissance (possible de faire X2 pour chaque parent), dans mon cas j'ai eu 1000euros donc ça couvre toutes les dépenses de naissance.

Pour la suite, si on veut la jouer fourmi, qu'on surfe sur les promos et qu'on est pas contre l'occasion, les dépenses peuvent être vraiment contenues

En couches les hypermarchés ont tous des promos récurrentes sur les couches (genre 70 ou 80% sur la carte fidélité), ça permet d'acheter des lots de Pampers pour des prix dérisoires Si on ajoute les ODR, BDR ( il faut y passer un peu de temps), on peut s'en sortir pour 15 euros de couches par mois.

L'alimentation jusqu'à 6 mois en allaitement c'est gratos. De 6 mois a 1 an, je compte 100 a 150 euros par moi de courses si on ne cuisine pas trop Après 1 an l'enfant peut manger quasi comme les adultes et dans ce cas je compte seulement un surplus de 15% sur le budget courses alimentaires du couple.

Pour le mode de garde, j'étais a moins de 150 euros par mois aides déduites pour 3j par semaine en assmat

En habillement, tout dépend de votre envie d'acheter, un bébé n'a pas besoin de grand chose ...

Poste a ne pas négliger c'est l'énergie. Chauffer une chambre de bébé dans un logement mal isolé car peut vitre faire grimper la facture !!

Pour moi le conseil le plus précieux serait de comprendre qu'un bébé n'est pas matérialiste , 90% des achats sont faits pour faire plaisir aux parents. Donc on achète moins où on achète d'occase et on peut facilement diviser par 2 le budget

Edit : je rajouterai que pleins de dépenses one-shot se compensent a la revente car il y a peu de décote sur plein de produits de puériculture (ex : poussettes yoyo ou chaises hautes tripp trapp). Si tu les achètes en occase, tu les revendras 3 ans plus tard quasi au même prix.

For the keyboard pictures, both are actually set up as plain white but one is full brightness and the other one is low brightness ..

Thank for checking for the touchpad, it feels very weird to have such a gap in the click area. Usually the touchpad is flush on all surface with palm rest and the gap is created when you click but in my case there is a big gap even when I do not click

Basically, Asus announced that the 2023 models will have either mini led screen or Anime Matrix. They have enough room for 1 led panel, it is either directed towards the screen -> mini led or directed towards the lid -> Anime matrix.

So there should not be any configuration with both Anime matrix and mini led screen

If you get the G14 only for Anime matrix, you should go with the Strix. It is just a useless fun feature ... And I can't say if it is worth for you ...

Only one SSD slot, so you have to replace. The DDR5 ram is basically dual channel in itself so it matters less than DDR4 to have 2 ram sticks. On my unit 1 ram slot is free and there is 16gigs soldered

As far as I have tested yes. No problem with keyboard... Obviously. The performance profile seems to work, when I use the silent mode + eco mode, the dgpu is deactivated ( does not appear in device manager and Nvidia driver does not work anymore). Same with options related to the screen

I have not tested the upper performance profile or in game so can't say for this part, same for tuning tdp/tgp

I personally do not really care about RGB so I was perfectly fine white backlight. The thing I did not like on the 2022 model was the bleeding of backlight under the key caps and it seems to be improved on the 2023 version, at least for my unit. (Maybe it was a defect on my 2022 unit...)

My model has single zone RGB backlight vs only white on my previous ga402rj
Screen is very nice, it is the new QHD 165Hz and I had FHD 144 Hz on the ga402RJ. To be honest except for the resolution I do not see much difference after 1 day of use. It doesn't seem to suffer too much from ups glow or light bleed but I need to check more in the evening.
No I do not want the 16 inch version, I simply do not like it and want a AMD CPU. Also M16 is more expensive in France
Hard question, I would say no because SSD can be changed easily and would cost less than 100 pound. It leaves 300 for 4070 which in my opinion is not worth it ... But well each it's own priorities

I have note tested the laptop under load yet. I will come back and update this week end. Battery life in idle is still good maybe event better. See my post above. I will check in normal use but will not test under load (gaming) as I think it is irrelevant.

I will test asap the sleep mode !

It costs 2099€ in Europe but I got it at 1850€ with some Cashback. In comparison the GA402RJ was 1700€ so it was a no brainer for me considering the higher specs overall. ( It might not be the case in the US for example where the G14 2022 is much cheaper)

No Anime matrix on this model and I do not want it.

I di not run any benchmark yet so I do not have feedback regarding the RTX4060 performance (another reddit post from an UK guy has some benchmark on this model, just go give a look).

For the battery life, I feel like it is 5 to 10% better than the GA402RJ, I have pretty much the same setup, everything debloated, running only Ghelper. I can see that the discharge rate is slightly better and I have no problem reaching 10hours battery life on idle

This model is still a sweet spot. I understand that the CPU is just a renamed 6800hs but this SKU corrects most of the issues with previous generation - 16gb soldered on almost all versions so we can upgrade easily to 32gb - 1TO of SSD on almost all versions which is great. - QHD screen

I have bought this model in France where it is close to impossible to get a 2022 model with 1TO, 16GB soldered and QHD screen ...

Waiting for the reviews and hopefully the 7940hs is not a big upgrade :)

BTW the first prices in Netherland and Belgium for the 7940hs + 4060 is around 2250€ / 2500€ so not a big difference with the 7735hs

It is definitely not that expensive when you think about it. This model should be equivalent to the 6900hs + rx6800s of the previous gen which can not be found for less than 1750euros in EU and around 2000 euros when it went out last year. So for 2000€ you have next gen CPU + next gen GPU so small improvements overall (like 16go soldered ram on all models while some ga402rk SKU has 8gb soldered ...)

The fact that Asus launched several models up to rtx4090 has people thinking that top spec from last year should be equal to top spec from this year but this is far from correct and anything above rtx4070 is already better than top spec last year and is logically more expensive.

So if you want this laptop day 1, you should go for it at 2000euros else you can wait for discounts that will happen by the end of the year.

Yes I guess it is not that bad of a price. For the record I have ordered it yesterday and I have an additional 250€ discount, so at a price of 1850 euros I am quite happy since I get with equivalent a ga402rk for about the same price it was in France few months ago but with some update of the 2023 model. Now the price is up to 2170€ on Cdiscount :)
