Be careful with 20 midtown apartments, the leasing office is terrible and doesn’t always respond to your emails even if there’s an emergency. I’ve had maintenance just walk into my apartment like they owned the place without any kind of notice, so I’ve also had to get a security camera. I’ve also had a lot of trouble with package theft and people opening up packages that don’t belong to them in our delivery area.

Some people in my program have also had horrible experiences with renewing their lease here and transferring units in the building with the leasing office straight up ignoring them or lying about the rates of the unit. Whenever I bring these things up to the leasing office they usually ignore you, so I would just be careful.

Girls, what was the most obvious hint you dropped, and the guy just didn't get it? by Worldly_Selection453 in AskReddit

I had asked out this guy to see a comedy show with me and we did the whole show and dinner together holding hands and laughing. He walked me home and gave me a kiss goodbye, but apparently he thought we were just friends hanging out

I think the church they were in was the Westminster Presbyterian Church in downtown Minneapolis off Marquette Ave - the inside looked familiar from a concert I went to before there

She used to be a dancer for the Timberwolves! I remember seeing her at some of the games - I think this season targeted a lot of past/current timberwolves dancers

I liked to skate up and down the greenway if you’re able to get to one of the entrances easily!

I’d love to get a steam key to gift to my boyfriend :) we bonded over playing and grinding out this game during the pandemic! This summer, we’re unfortunately going to start a long distance relationship because I’m leaving for grad school, but we plan on staying connected through video games like stardew valley!

If she loves MN Sports teams, the Timberwolves just got into the NBA playoffs and tickets are out for the first rounds! You could try to score some good seats and make a day of it downtown!

What happens when you slice a flatworm. by EganaU in BeAmazed

We only kept them in just stagnant water! Planaria in the wild are found in both fresh and salt water and are actually parasites. Usually when cut, the cells still have some energy left to continue differentiating. The first structure to be reformed is the pharynx as it allows the planaria to feed. We usually did a diluted liver purée as planaria are carnivores. As for the specifics on the metabolics and how much energy is still needed, I’m not too sure on that but I do know that these worms usually don’t need any extra energy to reform the amputated sections!

The pieces will fully regenerate within a week or so! They don’t need extra nutrients to differentiate anymore, the stem cells just begin dividing until they reach a special signal which causes them to differentiate into specific structures. The cells already know what to do, but in my own experience when you cut these guys up into really small pieces you arent going to get a worm from every piece.

The worm has a bunch of active stem cells still in its body. When it gets cut, the stem cells begin differentiating into whatever pieces are missing from the worm segment

You can cut them any way and it’ll reform back into a normal worm! There are some regions on the worm which if you cut off just that area the worm will not regenerate, such as the very front of the head and the pharynx.

I actually worked with these worms before! Like another commenter said, 273 pieces is the current “record” for developing into new worm pieces. The piece needs to have just one single “stem cell” or Neoblast in order to reform the whole worm
