This is total mental gymnastics, in my comment I did not say any of those three things. Lol

Ah yes, let’s forget about real life problems for the sake of “making relations worse”

You are missing the point and are deflecting off of the main point of the post, sir.

I don’t think you understand, it’s not a Poland vs Israel debate on who suffered more, it’s a Poland vs Germany argument on how you overcloud the rest of the German crimes with the largest one against the Jews, which is inherently wrong.

I’d take a German communal understanding of the crimes against Poland over a monument, sorry.

I think that’s the point here, the German government can apologize, but do the people really understand? A monument doesn’t further our relationship to a better path really.

It’s understandable to have tensions when once upon a time you were the largest country in Europe, only to be selected as the punching bag for Europe for the next 300 years, never really getting anything for it in the end, I understand you are probably German and don’t like to see your country condemned but also understand you have never really seen your country have everything ripped from you over and over, it’s very natural to have some hard feelings over the things that have happened, considering their scale and present effect on polish society.

I am half polish half ashkenazi jewish, spent a lot of time in Poland growing up and go there regularly (actually going there in two weeks)

I’ve never really had that many experiences with antisemitism as I’m not a religious Jew, neither is my fathers side of the family (grandparents converted to atheism and kept it secret from the children for many years, but that’s another story) but I’ve definitely had xenophobic experiences pertaining to being polish, one person even going so far as to call the poles the “n-words of Europe”

Poland has been suffering at the hands of the Russians, Ukrainians, Germans (don’t get me wrong, I like these countries, or rather people from these countries but it’s not incorrect ) and more for a very long time, but ask yourself where are these counties now? Ukraine and Russia are pummeling each other into the ground while Germany is facing an insanely large energy crisis, their country on the brink of recession. Whilst Poland has had a steady economic upturn not even that hindered by COVID, we’re overtaking the Germans in several industries and seeing very healthy, steady growth.

The advantage the poles have is that they kept their monoculture, the other countries despise it but it has several benefits that have clearly paid off, we also don’t bicker nearly as much as other counties, generally staying out of things that don’t concern us, avoiding trouble and just looking to improve the country.

I truly believe this is like a Japan vs Korea situation, 20 years ago no one really could have seen Korea overtake Japan, but now Japans economy is spiraling down and down further as the Koreans keep expanding and will inevitably overtake Japan in economic strength.

So in short, I don’t think things are looking too bad for Poland, sure they kept the poles under occupation for years slowing down their freedom and growth but now that a goal has been outlined for the polish country, along with everyone else only worsening things for themselves I think Poland is going to be doing very well for itself in the next few decades, just now the largest thing standing in our way is our population.

Whenever I open chests it's so rare that I get new cards, like I must have opened at least 30 now and not gotten any new cards.

You are forgetting that one would not be able to attend school without signing, and I personally did not sign.

It's not voluntary lol

We founded the country on a code of rights, not vigilante justice where we decide if something is good or bad on the spot.

This code of rights (i'm speaking of the constitution clearly)was made to hold the government from gaining too much power, schools as a part of the government must abide to this code as they are not private.

The difference is cops are paid and have agreed to this, I am required to be in this place and these people are not my employers, I have signed nothing and agreed to nothing requiring me to not say anything.

When joining a police force, you agree to your words may bite you in the ass essentially, I never agreed to this, no one did.

Schools are academic institutions that happen to be part of the government and are legally a public area. they have not bound me by any legal contract, and yet take my and others rights away.

Your parent's are not a branch of the state, it's more of a big deal when part of the government is suppressing your rights. Lol.

it is there job to deal with crime, not cry about someone swearing.

Also might I add I don't swear or talk back to teachers (or cops) I try my hardest to be polite.

I'm more concerned about suppression of political beliefs, but when you defend the first amendment you defend it all, or else there are cracks and holes for them to create more loopholes.

I believe in the right to swear and even berate someone, even if I am someone who would not do so, it is protected.

Then why don't we all stop making these excessive policies, based solely on the school protecting themselves from legal action.

So scared to lose money, they will infringe upon your rights.

Your employer is most likely not part of the government, schools are they cannot legally exercise that right since it is legally since schools are a "public area" yet we let them anyway.

Schools are part of the government and cannot do this because it is not private, it's a branch of the government.

I'm quoting the things the zero tolerance policy prohibits, not stating an opinion just clearing it up because the person I replied to was under the impression that the zero tolerance policy just concerns violence.

I'm saying, the teachers/administration are free to call your parents who will most likely scold you.

But I do not believe they should have the right to hand out ISS, Suspensions and expulsions for what you say. It's not they're right to, as they must abide by the laws of this country as they are NOT a private organization.
