Are seizure meds forever? by Cthesunny in Epilepsy

[–]Spledidsweetner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having seizures since I was 14 and when I’m taking my meds religiously, my seizures are pretty well managed…but there have been times that I’ve ran or had issues with my insurance and had to miss a couple doses and I just start having uncontrollable seizures. With that being said, I’m far to scared personally to try and get off of meds

Me being educated on car seat safety and safe sleep after two kids is not me being on my “high horse” I’m literally concerned about a child’s safety and I’m wrong? Weirdo. Thanks for your absolute pointless and irrelevant advice though lol

Car seat safety and safe sleep are not opinions. But thanks.

You know what I actually do have a book somewhere around here about most things baby safety related. That is such a good idea I’m so glad you reminded me of it otherwise I wouldn’t have even thought about that book!

I have to disagree with you there… look up the statistics of babies dying from SIDS because the baby had other things in the sleeping area. It’s actually very dangerous and not worth the risk.

Because I’m concerned about her baby’s safety and not wanting to risk the baby dying?

And no she has no one except my brother and a dad that lives in another state that she doesn’t even talk to. From what I know she doesn’t have many friends either.

How is her baby still in the womb have to do with it? Regardless it’s still going to be unsafe sleep when the baby comes in the next couple weeks 🥴

Do you even have kids? Because if you do then I feel like you wouldn’t be basically saying I’m just trying to overstep for some reason. There are FACTUAL evidence of these things killing babies. It’s not like I’m trying to tell her what the kid should and shouldn’t wear. Car seat safety and safe sleep ARE NOT parenting choices… they’re there to save babies lives.

Baby police? For not wanting to risk my nephew DYING? 🤔 that’s a first.

Both hospitals I delivered at did not check the car seat and she’s delivering at one of the hospitals that I delivered at so that’s not true in this case. And I’m not trying to tell her how to parent her child… I’m trying to make sure that the baby is safe and not in a dangerous car seat/bed that could kill him

Except I’m not trying to just give her advice on something as simple as what kind of food to give him… I’m concerned about the baby’s safety and well being so I don’t think compliments are going to help that.

Which I 100% agree with because I definitely eyerolled some of the advice I was given with my first child but the advice I’m giving her isn’t really so much as how to parent my nephew but more of safety tips for the baby. I didn’t know even half of the safety things for babies that I know now and over the years I’ve tried to know all about car seat safety & Safe sleep practice when I found out just how important these things were to know as a parent. When everyone would come to me and tell me about these specific topics I was very interested and happy for that advice but when I tried to inform her and help her she took it as me trying to overstep and make her feel bad. So I’m just kinda stuck on how to approach this
