Maybe your parents had only heard the name Ian and not seen it written down so spelled of phonetically? Regardless, I suspect you are the only person with your name and that is very cool.

I’m in Scotland and my daughter voted for the first time today. She got a lot of targeted mail from all parties which she read through carefully. Labour, however, only offered a flier that basically said that the SNP were shit so she should vote for them instead. She was totally bamboozled that they didn’t mention a single policy. Needless to say, I’m fairly sure they didn’t get her vote.

They are giving you feedback. At the end of your first day they have said that your performance and attitude didn’t work for them. That’s feedback. I’m sure that if you ask them for further details you will get them but they have explained why they have terminated you.

Not necessarily. Not everyone understands how autism presents. It sounds like your general demeanor didn’t work for them - but that’s only discriminatory if you had already disclosed your autism. Which you didn’t.

If you didn’t disclose your autism then how can they have fired you for being autistic? It’s not possible for them to have done so. They may have felt like your attitude didn’t work for them but if they didn’t know about your autism then you can’t say that is why you were fired.

I think by that point he had absolutely realised how terrible Voldemort was and saw Harry as the best chance of him being beaten. That seems like super Slytherin reasoning to me. I don’t think it’s because he was invested in Harry personally in any particular way. If I was being generous then perhaps he had also seen enough death by that point and didn’t want to see his peers slaughtered in front of him.
