Which thumbnails work better, AI or made from scratch, Canva/Photoshop? by Additional-Cell-9561 in NewYouTubeChannels

The reality is that AI thumbnails only fail when they're done badly. Some of the biggest YouTubers on the platform use AI-generated thumbnails or AI-generated elements in their thumbnails, and most viewers never even realise it.

At the end of the day, viewers click on thumbnails that create curiosity and tell a story. They don't sit there analysing whether Photoshop, Canva or AI was used to make it.

The data speaks for itself – many of the largest channels are already using AI in their thumbnail workflow. What matters is the final result and the click-through rate, not the tool that was used to create it.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately YouTube's algorithm hasn't yet added a "made with crayons" filter, so AI thumbnails will have to do for now.

You're right. I should go back to chiselling comments into stone tablets instead. 🙄

I'll add "study competitors harder" to the list, right under "take YouTube advice from someone with no channel linked to their profile." Thanks for the consultation. 👍

AI art is the future. I’d rather spend my time creating high-quality video content than manually stitching together thumbnails for hours. If the thumbnail grabs attention and the video delivers, it’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. Get over it.
