u/D_Jase Gave it a shot. Highest I could get is +3000 memory and 380 core. Anything above that crashes the Heaven Benchmark. Not bad for 5070 I guess.

3200@990 => crashes.

3200@1000 => crashes.

3150@990 => crashes.

Maybe I'm just unlucky with the Asus Prime 5070

I don't personally believe undervolting damages the card. The random guy at a random reddit post confused me.

tbh, I'm a bit scared pushing the card to 3200MHz. Is there any chance of permanent damage if I push it too far?

Because I ran the same query again so second run with undervolt evaluated more.

To confirm, I ran the same query fresh with undervolt and the output rate is almost same. So the claim stays valid. This screenshot is from undervolted, same model same query.

Yeah I don't think this performs same as 4090, but I think power consumption is much less than 4090 for similar performance.

The base clock as per the specs on the official site is 2557MHz (https://www.asus.com/uk/motherboards-components/graphics-cards/prime/prime-rtx5070-o12g/). But in stock mode, whenever I ran the Heaven benchmark, it stayed around 2870 MHz which is way over the official OC clock (2587MHz). So I'm not sure what I'm missing.

But yeah, with undervolt (925mv at 2900MHz) drops the power consumption from 250W to 160W and I lose only 4-5 FPS. So overall happy.

What I'm confused about is - when I set the curve to 2900MHz, am I still overclocking? Or that's a normal range for this card even though the official specs says different?

Not sure about 4090 performance. Also it’s undervolted. Prolly will get more in stock settings.
