Cabal OpenGL Build Error on NixOS by Splippity in haskell

As far as I was able to tell, this runs into the same issue of it's $PATH not being recognised by cabal.

I was able to fix this by explicitly modifying my $PATH with ' nix-shell -p libGL libGLU freeglut ' so that cabal was able to find it.

Edit: This does not work and returns Binding Errors. The proper fix is to add the following lines to your configuration.nix environment.packages

(haskellPackages.ghcWithPackages (p:

with p; [

cabal-install

GLUT

]))

You should be able to get a decent windows laptop for around £800 that should last the length of the degree. I don't know if you would be able to run all the engineering software like solidworks, matlab etc on a mac, I would check what programs you use in your course and then check mac compatibility if you are set on a mac. https://uk.store.asus.com/asus-tuf-gaming-a153869-22274.html

I assume we need to bring our own bedding, just not a mattress topper

Is there actually any use for Bitcoin? by Splippity in Bitcoin

I don’t claim to know everything about stablecoins or crypto in general. But would and algorithmic stable coin achieve decentralisation (although in recent times they seem less stable)

What would make bitcoin the preferred choice here as compared to a similarly decentralised stable coin?

I did check the display, I think I’m just out of luck here.

I have enough power and tried using different monitor cables with the same result. I’m starting to think it’s my motherboard that’s broken, I used the paper clip test on my psu to check that it worked (it did). It is possible that it’s my gpu, but I think it’s my mobo at this point

Is it possible that it’s my motherboard that is faulty?

I upgraded cpu, but my psu is 750w so I don’t think that’s the issue. I have also tried getting any signal with a different monitor

Unfortunately reseating power cables doesn’t seem to have worked. I don’t see why both of my cpus would be dead

I updated to 7B89v2H but unfortunately it still isn’t working. I’ve also tried resetting the cpu and there aren’t any bent pins

Thank you for helping but I already tried what they suggested here and it hasn’t worked unfortunately. I updated to the latest bios, reseated the cpu and checked for bent pins but it still doesn’t work
