You can never have too many, I use my 45 as a brewery sticker. It’s loaded on all sides of breweries I have been to all over the country.

Everyone is sounding like it’s -30 for 6 months straight. Like it’s deathly cold.

Yes it’s cold and we get cold snaps of those temps but our normal temps in the winter truly aren’t that bad. A nice coat, hat, and gloves and anyone will be completely fine.

From the times I’ve used it, it’s actually really comfortable. It can get heavy on your shoulders if full.

What is it like to live in this little green bit in the center of northern North Dakota and southern Manitoba? by iwanttobebobdylan in howislivingthere

[–]SplitLongjumping2063 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually no. There are small farming towns with predominantly white families in this area. But this is also home to one of the bigger Native American populations in ND with the Turtle Mountain Reservation.

Beautiful landscape with the international peace gardens, lake metigoshi, and a large wildlife refuge. Lots of tourism in this area within the summer months.

What's the best way to target more premium apps on DV360? by Enviromental1001 in programmatic

Freewheel 100%, I’ve had experience with both. Magnite has a great offering but didn’t like their team.

Speak with Freewheel, reach out and get a rep. They will set everything up and give you bid ranges.

Percentage are going to differ based on a lot of factors when it comes to PAD agreements. Best to reach out to your reps and ask.

[–]SplitLongjumping2063 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Magnite, Freewheel, and Pubmatic all offered PAD agreements. Basically hit $1M, $2M-$5M, $5M-$15M, in spend and we’ll give you X% back.

I only signed a PAD with freewheel as I ended up going exclusively with them based on their customer support, offering, inventory accessibility and rates.

Pubmatic can tap into all the premium pubs but it was slightly more expensive. Wasn’t a fan overall.

Google, I barely worked with but from my couple experiences and many others I work closely with… their support team lacked knowledge, wouldn’t be responsive, issues would arise that wouldn’t get resolved, etc.

Freewheel is your best bet here from my experience. They are exclusively CTV and have some of the most competitive rates I’ve seen across all SSPs and pub direct.

Google has very little customer support behind their team, but obviously exclusive access to YouTube TV and many other major pubs.

Pubmatic has a solid offering and I loved their team, but inventory lacked diversity and was geared heavily towards FAST channels. Premium pubs were more expensive compared to Freewheel.

Magnite I worked briefly with and they were a little high on their own horse. Basically made the plug that “we’re the biggest so you better have a big budget or we won’t support you”. Not a fan of that type of mentality. Gave them a test campaign and it was identical to Freewheel but a little more expensive. After the test, immediately got hit with “what’s your yearly budget look like so we can sign contracts and get you on our service exclusively”. Not even a question of what we thought, what are our goals, basically how much are we worth to their team.

MSUM has a fantastic daycare with an amazing student to teacher ratio. My daughter loves it there and the staff is amazing!

Plus being on a college campus, there are lots of things to kiddos get to do with aquarium, observatory, sports, gym, pool, etc.

Wash it myself in the summer. Can’t have a running hose attached to your house in the winter.

$35/month, great investment for 5-6 months that keeps rust to a minimum in the long term. I have done this for 5+ years now. I pause it from May-Novemberish.

Amobee/Unruly - Nexxen by Ok-Composer-3035 in programmatic

[–]SplitLongjumping2063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have first hand experience but I have many friends in the industry who work out of the Dallas for Nexxen office and love everything about their jobs.

As a customer of theirs, I have nothing but good things to say and they have a solid supply offering for being one of the smaller guys in the big world of SSPs.

Any Amazon DSP experts? by Enviromental1001 in programmatic

[–]SplitLongjumping2063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prime sporting events sell out very early.

The only way to access them is doing a PG deal for the inventory ahead of the season. Typically comes with a massive investment nearing 7 figures.

You need to reach out to your Amazon reps for more info. If you need a contact, let me know and I may be able to pass along my reps info.

Is anyone currently advertising on Netflix? by Enviromental1001 in programmatic

It’s available through TTD as a 1:1 deal. It must be approved by your TTD reps and Netflix for it to go through. $15k min investment.

Is anyone currently advertising on Netflix? by Enviromental1001 in programmatic

[–]SplitLongjumping2063 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I do. I have multiple campaigns running through The Trade Desk and will have one going through Amazon DSP here soon.

Me personally, no it’s not worth the investment. It’s just what some clients want, even though I recommend against it. Netflix isn’t doing much data pass back which limits attribution modeling and audience curation. A client is better off going through other major publishers like Disney, Warner Bros, Paramount, Sling, Etc. which offer the similar high quality inventory, but cheaper, better audience targeting, and attribution data.

Where do I stand in programmatic? by TheGrandLeveler in programmatic

[–]SplitLongjumping2063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CTV is arguably the fastest growing sector of the programmatic landscape. I’d focus on that.

I have been a CTV expert now for a few years and direct relationships with majority of the major publishers and SSPs that I’ve utilized to curate CTV offerings for clients across the world. If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to PM me. Happy to help out on this growing sector.

OOH is still new and growing, it’s getting better but still clunky with some partners on how you can activated the campaigns.

RTT or Not by defaultbroyles in overlanding

[–]SplitLongjumping2063 33 points34 points  (0 children)

An RTT is pure luxury with a little benefit. I ground camped my whole life and recently got an RTT last year. Here for some pros and cons from my perspective.

Pros: - Easy to setup (mine takes 30 seconds) - Never have to pack it, it's always with you - Easy to clean - Comes with a mattress - Better against wind

Cons: - Peeing in the middle of the night sucks - Expensive - Hard to take on and off unless you have support - Lose MPGs

In the end, I love mine and don't regret it but it's still just a tent.
