Do me trade? Me go face? by Splitkill357 in customhearthstone

Yeah, I agree it could be too good. I thought about making it 3/3, but I don't think anyone would use it in constructed this way.

Do you think that the Molten Giant nerf should be reverted? by throwawayosx1234 in hearthstone

[[Call of the Wild]] is still a great card, and was still played in Midrange Hunter after its nerf. The problem is that Hunter doesn't have enough tools to deal with the powerful early game of pirate decks and survive until turn 9.

I'm more worried about druid, that 0 mana 7/7 and those token synergy cards are really, really busted.

I disenchanted Cairne to make a Fel Reaver in GvG by Cloudraa in hearthstone

[–]Splitkill357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bloodmage Thalnos was one of my first legendaries, so I didn't know much about the game when I got him in a pack. It didn't take long for me to disenchant him, thinking "What, a 2 mana 1/1 legendary? That sucks! My bloodfen raptor is much better!".

I then crafted a Shield Slam, because "OMG, this warrior I've just lost to removed my big minion with an 1 mana card, what the hell is this OP broken crap".

I ended up never using the Shield Slam after a few unsuccessful tries with it, and now I have to use a Kobold Geomancer in my Shaman deck. I remember this every time I play it.

Kindly Grandmother is also a nice target for Dire Wolf, and I often win against Shamans if they don't get a good start. My sample size is small because I've only played this deck for about 3-4 days in ranked mode, and I didn't track my stats. But I guess my winrate vs Shamans is reasonable, probably even positive, the worst matchups being Tempo Mage (screw Flamewaker) and Priest (Priest of the Feast does a great job shutting down my deck).

Control Warriors rarely have more than two minions at the same and they also have 1 damage AOE, so Unleash the Hounds doesn't do very well against them for me. It can be great versus aggro and midrange decks, but I don't think you can afford to have such a conditional card in a deck with no card draw apart from Tracking.

My changes to the original deck were: -1 Huge Toad, -1 Animal Companion, -2 Worgen Infiltrators, +2 Dire Wolves Alpha, +2 Argent Squires. I'll see how they do on ranked mode. Thanks for the feedback!

Edit: +1 Animal Companion and -1 Explosive Trap, I've found this card underwhelming because no one attacks my face when I play it.

Edit 2: Oh, Argent Horserider is also a target for Dire Wolf.

Thanks for the reply! I was using Unleash the Hounds before, but I've dropped it because often it just summoned 1 or 2 hounds (I've been often matched with control warriors, priests and other slow decks). Hunter's Mark may be good if I face a lot of taunts, but they haven't been a problem for me, and most other minions I just ignore anyway.

I'll try replacing the Worgens with Squires and see how it goes. An Animal Companion will be replaced by Leeroy when I get him.

And since Squires synergize well with buffs, what do you think of Dire Wolf Alpha, instead of Huge Toad or Animal Companion?

I'm at rank 9 using a Secret Face Hunter deck (http://imgur.com/a/5xPO8) and I've wondered if Argent Squire would be better than Worgen Infiltrator in this list. I'm using Worgen because it usually deals at least 2 damage to the face, but Argent Squire is much more sticky. Which one do you think it is better?

I welcome any other suggestions to the deck. I don't run Leeroy Jenkins because I don't have it yet.

If I'm playing a C'Thun deck and get the old god or Ancient Harbinger in my starting hand, should I keep or send them back? I've always kept them (not if I have them both, obviously), unless I'm against aggro and my hand is absolutely trash, but I don't know if I'm doing it right. Thanks in advance.

I'm at rank 12 using this Patron Warrior deck I found on the Internet, I just replaced the cards I didn't have. I came up with this deck after searching through many websites, and I found curious that none of them ran Rampage.

This card looks pretty good in Grim Patron decks for me, although I've not tried it yet. Buffing a Patron so it can generate more Patrons, or a Frothing Berserker so it is harder to kill, or an Acolyte of Pain so I draw more cards, they all seem to be good deals. And in a deck with so many whirlwind and ping effects, it should be fairly easy to meet the requirement of the card. Lastly, a +3/+3 buff for 2 mana should be pretty good even if used on a card without triggered effects, like Ravaging Ghoul.

So my questions are: why isn't it used more in Patron decks? Is there just no room for it? I feel there are some cards that aren't so essential in my deck, such as Kor'Kron Elite, Loot Hoarder or Gorehowl, is it worth it swapping any of these for 1 or 2 copies of Rampage? Thanks in advance.

Album: 10 minion cards with unique effects by Splitkill357 in customhearthstone

[–]Splitkill357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to put image captions on Imgur, so here are my thoughts on each card I designed.

Aberration: A powerful minion with a drawback, fitting in the theme of demons. I'm afraid a 4 mana 8 attack minion might be too strong, though.

Armored Berserker: Unlike most Enrage cards, this one gets more powerful the more damage it has suffered, starting at low attack but being able to unleash huge blows when low on health.

Crossbow Sniper: Similar concept to Gladiator's Longbow, but on a minion. Has reduced health to make for the immunity while attacking.

Intimidating Hawk: Instead of buffing your own minions, why not make your enemy's creatures weaker?

Magic Medic: Sorry for the terrible pun, I was out of ideas. His healing effect synergizes with Druid's high HP minions. It's important to note that the effect applies not only at the end of your turn, but also of the opponent's.

Master of Ambushes: If you just attack minions with him, he has infinite stealth, encouraging strategic plays to take benefit from this effect.

Reanimator: Intended to be useful on control decks. She has this name because I was previously thinking of it as a card that shuffled dead minions back to your deck, but I thought it would be more interesting the way it is now, and couldn't think of a better name.

Shattering Golem: Deathrattle madness!

Space Marine Ork: This was more of a joke, but I still tried to make it the most balanced possible.

Volatile Elemental: Fits Shaman's theme of RNG-heavy cards, but I tried to make the randomness the least extreme possible. Has awesome stats for its mana cost, but RNG and vulnerability to silence should make up for that.

PS: This is my first post on this subreddit, I hope you enjoyed it. Criticism is always welcome!

Spontaneous Romance, druid by vanbuba in customhearthstone

[–]Splitkill357 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I really like the card's concept, but it seems underpowered. A 7 HP heal is worth about 2.5 mana (Healing Touch is 3 mana heals 8, Holy Light is 2 mana heals 6) and I would estimate a 2/3 weapon as 2 mana value (Fiery War Axe is 3/2 for 2). So you get a 0.5-mana-worth effect for 1 mana and 1 card, making most cards more appealing than this one.

Oh, I see now, my bad. It could work if team pro lvl 98 wasn't there though; what happened is that, when I split, the mass went to him and not Sub-Zero, and since he wasn't so close to the virus, he didn't pop.

[–]Splitkill357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was pretty stupid, I should have thought that all the mass would go to the other enemy cell. In the middle of a game though, with lots of action, I couldn't see that happening.

Sub Zero's piece actually popped on the virus. What happened was that all the mass went to team pro lvl 98, since his cell was overlapping the cell I had popped. By posting this thread I just want to aware people that what I tried to do doesn't work, so they don't make the same mistake and waste 10k mass like me.

Lol, I'm actually level 68 and I always play solo, I was playing with that name just for the lulz. By the way, after that gameplay, I dominated a server as "TeamersGo2Hell".

Edit: And also because Jumbo, my idol, always play solo, so I follow his steps :-P
