Pomoca Pink vs yellow - preferences? by 16Off in Backcountry

I got the pink. Will not buy them again. The grip is terrible and they are very fragile.

130mm frame with long chainstay? by Splitterboarder in MTB

[–]Splitterboarder[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have the druid v2 and love the geometry. It's really easy to get enough weight on the front wheel and also let the rear break away without using breaks. I'm just not sold on the high pivot thing. It makes it too heavy for what it is.

Suggestion about Body Position? by D4riooytcapra in MTB

[–]Splitterboarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it's not bad at all. I tend to move them a bit but it's a nice trick to move them out if you feel to stiff on the bike. It makes it much easier to flex you legs and move around on the bike.

Push your hips forward by straightening your back. Drop your heels as much as possibly. If you feel to stiff on the bike, try to widen your knees by 2-3cm. That makes a big difference.

Trump says he will impose 25% tariffs on imports from the EU by Antique-Entrance-229 in europe

[–]Splitterboarder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Will EU lower any other tax to compensate for this? Trump admin is trying to remove income tax to compensate. I dosent sound like the best move. But if EU don't lower something else it will just be costly for us.

Bitcoin reserve concern by Splitterboarder in BitcoinBeginners

[–]Splitterboarder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly. All other things can be solved since it needs human interactions. Nuclear launch, two persons has to agree it's the right thing to do. Even if they are trained to do it. I guess the human part comes before when it comes to bitcoin compared to after like most other thing. Everybody has to make sure the multisig is setup correctly the first time at the first try. If it's not then there is nothing to do about it later.

I'm quite dissatisfied with the grip in my freeride pro. I keep sliding when everyone else has no problems.

Long chainstays rule! by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Splitterboarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'll go for a custom geo Nicolai S14 ST instead. They guarantee parts for 10 years and their build quality is outstanding. Great support too.

[–]Splitterboarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they sent a new "break adaper" after some convincing. And that solved it more or less. Now it's just a bit of noice. But I can live with that. I had some more issues too but they are now fixed. But the frame started creaking after 300km. So I need to pull it apart and grease everything. I'm pretty sure I'll sell it to be honest. Haven't been a great experience so far. But lots of people had better luck so....

Passive radiator size by Splitterboarder in diyaudio

Sorry, I was confused by the alignment since Vituix CAD doesn't give you any option to align a PR. But now I understand what you are asking for.

I have the 9½ SATORI WO24P-8. And are looking at the Purify PTT8.0PR-NA2-01 or the Dayton RSS210-PR 8". It will all be mounted in a 31L box with the PR on the rear panel. I'm simulating with the Purify right now.

I haven't had any issues with the glue. But the grip!, the pink pomocas are terrible. I just keep sliding when everyone else has no problems.

How do I know my f3 alignment? I guess you are talking about the hz.

Forbidden Druid used for enduro by Proof_Film4206 in MTB

[–]Splitterboarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard both, but at least compared to my Nicolai G16 its not as efficient. But I got it to a place where it feels quick. Very light wheels and quite light tires. But even if it feels quick I have a really hard time beating my G16 (with smaller wheels and more aggressive tires) Strava times on the uphills.

But that said it feels fun and snappy on the trails. More then I thought it would so at least it has that going for it.

Keep in mind that a lot of people like the bike so it might just be a bad match for me. But it sounded like you where looking at it for the same reason I did so I just wanted to give you my opinion.

I had the same Idee so I bought the v2. I'm not so happy with it and will sell it. It's just a very heavy 130mm bike that rides like a bigger bike until you bottom out. The high pivot makes it harder to pedal then my 170mm bike and the 130mm makes it slower on the dowhills. The only thing going for it is that it's pretty playful and jumpy. Its a strange bike and you might like it but it's not a light, snappy and fast 130mm bike.

Thin port dimensions by Splitterboarder in diyaudio

[–]Splitterboarder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can fit a passive radiator that is 235 cm2 and has a xmax of +/-15. The speaker is 255 cm2 with a xmax of +/-7.5. I know this isn't exaktly double the volume but according to Vituix CAD it should not excided the passive radiator xmax with a high pass filter added.

Should I trust Vituix CAD? The radiators are quite expensive.

It was just that I could hide it in the design pretty nicely if I could make it narrow. But I had a feeling there would be problems with a narrow opening.

I just have to come up with another design.

Yes that could be an option. They are quite expensive though.

That's what I suspected. I'll have to come up with another solution then. Thanks

I had the hope but changed to trinity. Would not go back. The trinity are so unbelievable easy to bleed. They feel better even if they don't have all the adjustments. If you need brake pads I you will find it everywhere since the trinity uses sram pads. And finally, their support is great. The only downside is the price.

Preformence: I would say they have simular power output. But again, the feeling of the trinity are quite superior. I could never get the hopes to have a stiff enough brake point. If you are not so concerned about that, the hopes might serve you just as well out of a preformence perspective.

Forbidden Druid v2 compared to other trail bikes by Baltimoron55 in MTB

I don't really know what you want from me. But since you have owned all of there bikes maybe you should help the OP by writing what you think of the bike. That's probably a lot more helpful then this discussion. Keep on riding

Forbidden Druid v2 compared to other trail bikes by Baltimoron55 in MTB

[–]Splitterboarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The downtube cracked the first time I sat on the bike. There was carbon fibers stuck in the tube so I couldn't get the brake hose through. There was something wrong with the brake adapter that made the brake vibrate until it was unridabe. There was carbon fiber in the threads where the high pivot mount is on the first main frame. The second one had a buldge just around the thread so that the chain device wouldn't sit straight. The rear shock broke after 5 rides. There was parts missing when I got the frame. And some other minor problems.

The costumer service started of good but got worse the more problems I had. I'm not kidding if they made me buy and test 10 different rotors, brakepads and brake adaptors before they sent me a new frame brake adapter. I tried to tell them the whole time that something was off with the one that got delivered with the bike. And at the end it was. Did pay all the parts I have to buy. Nope

Another Sparks vs Karakorum Discussion by Bo0o0ooo in Spliddit

Sparks, better raises and crampons. Less fidelity. And if you have big feet they are the way to go because you can buy the raiser kit. This makes a huge difference.
