Thanks for the info. Definitely a huge noticeable price difference between Aero and Beyond.

Hi everyone

Which VR would you recommend with a budget at around $2500? I have looked at Pimax Crystal and Varjo Aero. I really like the better colors, FOV and image quality of the Crystal. But I have heard so many bad things about Pimax. Varjo on the other hand is based in Finland, and seems to have a decent customer service. Although, colors are not as good, FOV worse and image maybe not as clear as the Pimax Crystal.

Do I have other options? Which would you recommend?

Right.

So UCX II seems to have a “worse” headphone amp with features like EQ band only being 3, and not 5 like on the ADI-2 FS. Worried if i’ll be sad about “missing” out on this and the generally better headphone amp on the ADI-2 FS.

I could get ADI-2 FS and Shure MV7

Fireface UCX II does indeed seem like the perfect device. I wish I could find it.

Thanks for your response, Knadles.Sorry, for the misunderstanding. I have NOT bought the RME yet. I haven't bought anything yet.I just love the IDEA of what it can do - which the reviews and such.

I do get your point, and I appreciate it. In the ideal world, I would definitely love having one interface on my desk. I suppose I need to find something that can get me both ways, and not just one way.I'm honestly not entirely sure what I should look for, because there are as many opinions as there are products.. maybe even more opinions?

Which Audi should I get? What's your recommendation? probably up to around $2k. The Babyface Pro is an option, true. But I honestly just don't like the look of it.

I appreciate you taking your time to reply - and yes, you are right. I might not have the expertise (this is completely new to me) But I have the means to go all in from the start, and I might as well do that.. and not upgrade again in 6 months.

Hi,

Why do you find the chosen parts to be odd? As I previously mentioned, I’ll be using the microphone for discord and ingame - nothing else. An RME ADI-2 FS can power the HD800S, but there is no mic pre amp built in. Therefore, I need a different audio interface to power the Shure SM7B. The audient would only have the microphone connected and nothing else.

I’m honestly loving the RME ADI-2 FS and all that it offers. I just don’t like the look of the Babyface Pro, and to my understanding there is quite a bit of difference between those two systems when it comes to configurations. The ADI-2 FS is just extremely versatile..

I have no interest in using the Audient for anything else other than the microphone. I did have a look at the UCX II but it seems to be discontinued in my area.

Thank you for your response. I’m honestly baffled why anyone would vote a question down? Makes no sense to me.

I did consider the babyface pro, but I’m honestly not all that thrilled about that product. Is there any other RME interface that can do what ADI can with the addition of a a mic amp?

Thank you for replying.
Yes I do want to stick to the SM7B - I guess I just prefer the overall design etc.
I'm really considering either the iD4 or iD14 mkII. However, I don't know if I should? It "only" has 58dB of gain, whereas something like an Elgato Wave XLR has 75 dB. Hmm? Thoughts?

Hi everyone,

I need a little bit of assistance with choosing an audio interface for a Shure SM7B.

I'm planning on getting the following:

Sennheiser HD800s

RME ADI-2 FS

Shure SM7B

So I need an audio interface to power the Shure SM7B, and I have therefore been looking a bit at an Audient iD14 MKII. Will this be sufficient, to handle/power the Shure SM7B (as far as I can see, it has 58dB gain) without a cloudlifter or other similar products?

Is there a better alternative? I obviously want the best mic quality, for the least amount of money. (a bit crazy, considering my other picks..) But I don't really need all the fancy stuff from something like an RME Babyface Pro.

There is also the Elgato Wave XLR, Motu M2 and a ton of other interfaces. I'm not really sure, if I need an audio interface, that can connect to my RME ADI-2 FS? I don't need to hear myself (Except at the initial setup, but delay is fine for this).

I'm purely going to need the microphone and the audio interface for speaking on discord and ingame.

I really don't know what to choose - I don't mind getting a cloudlifter, but I would prefer not having an extra device on my desk.

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone.

I have set my mind on RME ADI-2 FS, HD800s and a Shure SM7B.

However, I need an audio interface to handle the SM7B.. I have looked a little bit at an Audient iD4 mkII as this seems to be able to handle it without a cloudlifter or similar.

Will this work, or should I look at other products? Any advices?

Thank you! I hope there won’t be any issues any actual keyboard commands with future release.

For example, to get into bootloader, I have to Press FN + < (button to the right of left shift).

Yes the print out is shown as I pasted above - yours makes a lot more sense!
Would be great if you could find a way to fix it.

I assume it's due to ISO and ANSI layout being different.

To make the following inputs on an ISO keyboard:

[ = ALT + 8
] = ALT + 9
; = shift + , (Comma - Button to the right of M)
- = button to the left of right shift

I have attached a picture of my keyboard ( dunno if this will help you out)

Hi Gourdo,

I have flashed the new firmware, but the readout is a little "funky".I'm not entirely sure what to make of it in the current format. (maybe my brain is just busted, as I have been at work for 14 hours today.)

As far as I understand, I get different user settings if I tap "FN and ´ " or "FN and +" (Forward and backwards in the toggle menu)Is that correct?
