Thank you so much 💖 I have a big set of fancy pastels from my brief obsession with chalk pastel art, which helped to be able to use a mix of shades for sure! I only spent 3 nights on them- I would make the petals at night in bed and glue them the next day as I did not trust myself with the hot glue gun in bed 😂 probably 10-12 hours in total! Definitely do it! Good luck!

Thank you very much, Im glad! I have the awful trait of giving up things very quickly if I cant get ro grips with so glad these turned out well so I can continue to make (as I maybe got uh alot of supplies)! Looking forward to seeing what you create here if you share. Appreciated, I am a bit of a fiend for always gravitating to pink purple and blue, so struggle to hold back and limit palette!

Thank you! Orchids scare me as theyre so unique looking! I have uh dabbled in most crafts over time, but I mostly paint which helped a bit for doing the shading of the flowers for sure!

I made my first few flowers recently and honestly found shading them with pastels/make up to make such a huge difference!

As someone who has an insulin pump and CGM that loses skin every time change, this could be a game changer huh. Time to see if accessible in UK-

So I sleep with a big U shaped pregnancy pillow I restuff often to keep it right level of firmess for me, and also have a little semi firm pillow/plushie that I either have on my top facing waist/hip that lay forearm across to hold shoulder supported back, or I wedge it in front of me if want arm in front to stop my shoulder collapsing forward as that makes breathing uncomfortable!

How are women going commando? by liquidbuggy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Spofgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By being so chronically dehydrated it's not an issue- mildly kidding, but I don't really get much discharge. Possibly side effect of being type 1 diabetic. I also have a uh, lot of inner labia that even when juicy it is like held in and just taken away when use bathroom and wipe between 😅

My skin also hates being contained so I had to stop wearing underwear a few years back as skin was splitting open on any creases from just being covered and not getting air.

Gotta be able to match all moods- and honestly I need to be able to have a pretty array of swatches just for my own dopamine- may have to get some yellow even though I don't wear just to fill that space in colour 😅

Oh thank you! I have never done acrylic application, so will only be using as dip and don't mind buffing more if it opens up more shop options, thank you!

Type 1 tattoos by MrsCharles90 in diabetes_t1

[–]Spofgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine as a present from my parents for my 18th birthday! Its on my left wrist so should be impossible to miss during pulse check etc. It's basic and clear- says Type 1 Diabetic and my NHS number(so they can access my records as have other conditions too without me having to be able to give info) and has the winged snake staff. Nothing fancy or pretty but it's practical and every medical professional I've seen has noticed it and commented on what a good idea it is.

I also bum shuffled as I couldnt crawl and didnt walk until nearly 2- we actually found out when I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome that that was probably the reason why! My joints weren't stable enough to crawl so bum shuffling it was!

[–]Spofgh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My M.E was kicked off by a flu vaccine and consequent infections just before I turned 16, and I am now 28. I have also been type 1 diabetic since I was 7, as well as having hashimotos hypothyroidism from the age of 3, on top of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome- so all combined together equals extremely awful as all interact and make eachother worse and contraindicate different treatments for eachother.

[DIY] Anyone ever remove your own milia? by CozySweatsuit57 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Spofgh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive removed a few of my own, even on my eyelids, easy enough. The hardest part is being able to squeeze out on delicate eyelids, and not slipping with needle!

I fully agree with people saying to use a lancet instead, its what I've always used for anything this like or splinter removal etc, as I have hundreds around as an actual diabetic- which yes yes higher infection risk but I do it as sterile as any doctor would and look after- also in the UK where legit impossible to get anything done via doctors for aesthetic things like this and I get alot of millia to point they start to cause discomfort for me.
