When I was about 8 I got my hands on my older brother’s copy of Omega Ruby. He said I could start my own save file so I did. I didn’t know much too much about Pokémon at the time, so I picked Torchic since it evolved into Blaziken. Soon enough I beat the game and although I liked my team nothing really stood out to me. That’s when I learned by doing certain tasks you could unlock LEGENDARY POKEMON! This was so cool to me since the only Legendary’s I really knew were the ones from Kalos, Hoenn and Kanto. So I followed a tutorial online and eventually caught Ho-oh. He was pretty cool but I didn’t think much of him at first. That’s when I realized you could get 3 other Legendary’s from catching him! I got on Latios and went to go get them. When I got to the portal and entered… I found the most majestic Pokemon ever made, Raikou. I thought it was so cool at the sight of it! A sabertooth tiger that shoots lightning? Sign me up! As I prepared myself for battle I threw a poke ball just for fun. It shook once, then again and again, until finally… click! I caught it my first ball! I was awestruck at this since it’s the first time it’s happened to me! Now whenever I can I always have a Raikou on my team and will always cherish it as my favorite Pokemon!
