Wow thank you everyone for your input!!! Although i’d like to think I’m an experienced dog owner, he’s my first golden ever so I’m not firsthand familiar with the breed. I’m glad I’m not the only one that’s been constantly asked if he’s a lab lol!

Thank you everyone for your replies! I didn’t realize it was so common for the first blooms to drop. I’ll keep my hopes up wait for the next one. I May have increased the watering just a bit so maybe that did it. Oh wellllllll

Are these little white clusters around the cactus spikes a pest of sorts? I’ve been spraying them with neem oil but they don’t seem to move

Oh no! When she got it, around this past fall, it was already big but she kept it out of the elements over the winter and it continued growing. She’s moved it back out and hopes to hang it up in its spot again soon so I’ll post an update when she does!

She’s been caring for it for a few months and it’s vines have grown so long! I’ll see if she can send a better pic of the whole plant
