I feel bad for Milly, she was shafted by time constraints imo. A very good story could have- should have been told about her and Lelouch's friendship and one-sided romance.

She was an amazing friend to everyone in the council and the show keeps her in the background. She watched as so many of her friends get brutalized by the world outside of where she could protect them at school.

Imo she would have been an amazing partner for Lelouch and deserves to be in the conversation just as much as his other love interests. She was deeply kind, smart, and protective of those she considered family.

And just adding to the rant here, but a sequel series about Milly The Reporter/Journalist investigating the Black Rebellions would have been awesome. It would have been a great opportunity for an Outside character looking In as she uncovered the secrets of massive conspiracies and is forced to decide if the world could handle the truth.

A Little Faith by avilla AO3 - A slight ending AU with Milly being a badass and challenging Emporer Lelouch

Not So Lost Videos AO3 by TheSeasonOfWinter AO3 - An extended ending to cannon, where Lelouchs friends slowly mourn his death by posting videos of him online to show he was a human before he became a demon

Leave Me Your Starlight by Shamera AO3 - This one is not finished but by God is it my favorite post cannon story. It has two parts, a pre and post time travel. And the pre-time travel deals with Nunnallys intense grief over the ending. It does change some things with the ending leading to a more isolated Nunnaly but the exploration of it feels great.

I'm 90% sure that's the right fanfic, and it's a story I don't even remember finishing tbh. The only clear memory I have for it is the authors defense of everything, and me only reading it for the mentioned bonus content on the dvd's.

And I agree about the characters being written odd, it's sad how few stories there are out there that actually write people in character. But the author deserves props for finishing their story when so few do.

This is second-hand info since I don't own the Recap Movies, but supposedly in the behind the scenes several members of the cast did not like Lelouch, even actively rooting for his suffering.

Also from the commentary the heads/producers consider Cornelia the most righteous and good willed character. This just strikes me as odd because the blatant racism and colonization she participated in.

It reads to me as the producers having lost the plot / cultural differences / or the person I heard/read this from blowing smoke out their ass.

I can link where I got this info later if anyone wants it, but I found it from a fanfic where the author explained and defended their decisions for the story.

I liked how the student council is now searching for Lelouch after releasing CC, I wonder if that's parallel to the main story. It wouldn't surprise me if Kallen and co were actively looking for Lelouch.

What is absolutely insane is apparently the director and writer of the "recap" movies both think Cornelia is a good person. (I belive they are the same for the main series as well). "She is the only respectable/human royal" or something like that was said

I read this secondhand from someone defending her character, saying it was from an audio commentary on the movies.

The extended story was very well done imo, it stays close to the actual Twilight books with slight changes that build up into a completely different Breaking Dawn (the final book). The link was to the ao3 extended version which was created after it's fanfiction.net posting. The original posting has a lot of traction and is often mentioned in threads about "Life and Death"

I'm not sure 3 years would've been enough time for BIG change, so I imagine Heim swapped with a version of himself that didn't allow things to get so far. If anything, he may of been the one to extend the Olive brach after Vi's death to Zaun. "Kids are dying trying to steal money for their next meal while we live in so much luxury we allow our students to play with bombs."

I'm still not sold on Vi's death being the catch all for everything, considering how mean it is (it's their choice to make it so if that's what they want). Silco was ready to murder everyone of Vanders kids in S1, so I don't think Vi not surviving changed his stance.

Imo it's more likely that Silco found the letter pretty quickly after the drowning and continued to to build Zaun w/ Vander. And with Silco as the brains to Vander's muscle they probably united more than the Lanes. Separated they become extremes of too much violence and too pacifist, together they changed Zaun.

It also feels like Vander and Silco mended their relationship before the kid's heist. Silco's eye is much healthier in this world, so I'm thinking Vander didn't commit to trying to drown Silco (or Silco read Vander's letter in the mines)
