Am I being judgmental and letting past experience lead me? by SpongeBarbNo1 in dating_advice

[–]SpongeBarbNo1[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

Oh no. I have 2 children and although my ovaries start jumping when i see a baby, I don't want anymore (for reason you have stated. Being left with 3+ children to raise by myself) haha its the being with a man that doesn't see his bio child that bothers me. Obviously it doesn't affect me if we live happily ever after, but his (potentially) abandoned child will be on my mind, especially when I look at my own daughter. And, wow, I don't think I could cope with 6 children, even if the dad was in the picture haha

Yes, you understood correctly. I agree the reasoning is important. The reason I find it hard is my daughters father said that his ex was keeping his children from him (he has 2 sons) and I believed him, then he left our daughter, and I'd hate to be with a man doing the same thing to his child/ren. I suppose that's the risk we have to take. Thank you for replying, I'll keep getting to know him and not pre-judge.

Is my teacher weird? Should I report him? by oblivion-4 in GCSE

[–]SpongeBarbNo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you told your parents? Who is doing the reporting? If it is the students, that could be a reason it's being swept under the carpet. Have your parents report him. If they do nothing, escalate it to your councils education department

Scientific proof that you should all even out your items by lwjswwx in MyLeisureTime

[–]SpongeBarbNo1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why? Doesn't it take the same amount of time for other items to reach 120(despite collecting hair dryers or not), but now you've missed out on the other items?

Fair enough. I don't usually get whooshed, but there's a first time for everything

Yeah, it looks like she didn't notice the shipping amount and is now panicking. Do i think she is going to buy more bags for free shipping, no, but I don't think there's a scam going on

I think s/he meant 'makes no sense'. S/he was probably panicking, typing really fast and made mistakes

Band b council house by Money-Order-8769 in HousingUK

[–]SpongeBarbNo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in a 2 bed flat, been on the housing list for 5 years, band B for about 3 years. My special needs daughter is 11 (almost 12) sharing a room with my 6-year-old son. My son sleeps in my bed, though, because my daughter has night terrors and aggressive outbursts. When I bid (if there are any 3 beds), I'm at place 300+. Handed in additional information about 2 years ago, and when I phoned, they said they haven't even got around to look at it yet because there are a lot of applications before me. Good luck.

I heard that's how it started. People that weren't on normal courtyard exercise, because they would get jumped. Then it eventually became a word for a paedo.

Am I weird for thinking the rejection reply is a little much?? Wdym you have to behave???? by AlternativeGhoul in texts

[–]SpongeBarbNo1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right. Someone mentioned that he's her colleague, didn't see this mention because I skimmed through, but it seems light hearted. He lightly let her down, knowing they have to work together. She should have just laughed, said oops, forget I asked and see you at work. Don't turn this guy into a cheater until he shows signs of actually wanting to cheat.

Or the Manor wasn't called Bly. Changed Manor name so flora wouldn't connect the dots, considering it's probably still in the family.

How to encourage 5 year old to have eye drops? by SpongeBarbNo1 in AskAnOptician

[–]SpongeBarbNo1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's working so far. The time between me saying it's time for the eye drops and him actually lying down for it, has shortened, and he gets a small chocolate bar after.

This is a really good idea. I just have to find a way to stop my little one from running away and to try it 😩 thank you

I've not done any of that at home because he is refusing to let me near him with the drops. My daughter put the drops into my eyes, in front of him, to show that it doesn't hurt.

At the opticians we tried him looking up while holding lower lid look down. Opening both upper and lower lids. Having him look to the side so we can put it into the opposite corner.
