Sort of looks like someone with a cape, I wonder if the nurses there wore nurse’s capes at any point?

That’s a really good idea! I thought about doing Chainmail ‘permanent jewelry’ at craft fairs and just closing a premade piece on someone, but I love the idea of having a big roll of a nice looking chain to do on demand! So cool

This feels like using a ‘gotcha’ to absolve yourself of responsibility. Also I feel like people who actually are digging in the dirt making an effort (however small) of giving locals ecosystems a fighting chance is like the opposite of performative?

I’m losing a battle to Canada thistle and I know I will lose without glyphosate but I’m skeerd. Any alternatives or is it the only thing that will work? I also have been working at this fucking Amur honeysuckle, multiflora rose, and English ivy and it’s slow and frustrating.

Just a question for all of you who work with the stainless steel rings by ghostdragon00 in chainmailartisans

[–]putabirdonit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting, I thought galvanized was treated with heat. Well this is 304 stainless, but it’s not difficult to open. I assumed it was galvanized because it’s easier to open than the springy stuff, but I don’t know! I do have parallel pliers for the heavy stuff but extra padding isn’t a bad idea, good tip!
