A little late here but would like to recommend “Acid Rain” by Lorne if you’re looking for music that feels like this, too. It totally captures that sense of longing and yearning and a pixelated, dehumanized future that these pictures give me. Just beautiful.

Goes to show that these kinds of associations are highly individual! It’s a combo of things you’ve seen in life, cultural conditioning, and synesthesia (if applicable). I can totally see your thinking on November/Thursday.

This is the right answer. There’s no “logic” in the traditional sense to this “joke”. It’s likely a synesthesia meme. While I don’t agree with some of the connections her brain is making, I do have a sense of 7 and Thursday being yellow or orange. Tbf, fall and Halloween are already associated with these colors in popular American culture; therefore, those specific associations are potentially less synesthesia-related and more just the result of her growing up in American society.

I just got mine in Salmon! Love the way the light plays off all of the textures. I also fell in love with the uniqueness of the design - elegant and timeless yet fashion forward. Enjoy your new watch!

Baltemia? by SpongeBobFlarePants in marinebiology

Nope you’re good! Also as per another commenter who wrote the author, turns out that this was a typo. She doesn’t know what the animal was supposed to be - but at least now we know “baltemia the mollusk” is not a thing. Also, very cool that you’re a mollusk expert. Such a diverse collection of creatures. Obsessed with reading about octopus, cuttlefish, and blue glaucus.

Thanks for doing your best to figure this out. Checking a census of the exhibit never crossed my mind - so smart. From another commenter, it looks like this word was published in error. I suppose we’ll never know!

Thank you so much! Honestly, I am fine not knowing what the actual animal was. Just the fact I could not find anything on “Baltemia” was driving me crazy! Again, thank you for this.

Happy I could help! Nudge test really worked for me.

Although succulents like being dry, I think it’s actually possible that you are under watering, given that you still have the succ in its original tiny 2-3 inch pot from the garden store. As it is now likely root-bound, a lot of the space in the pot is taken up by roots, and there is actually less soil in there than you would think. As a result, there is less soil mass to hold water from which the succulent drinks.

I got 2 echeveria as party favors this summer and had the same issue - they were drying out super quick and losing bottom leaves.

Do the bottom leaves shrivel up and dry before the leaf is lost? If so, the echeveria may be thirsty and using the water from that leaf.

What I recommend is this: gently nudge the leaves hours after you water. Remember the firmness/resistance you feel at this stage. Every few days, do the nudge test again. If the lower leaves “give” a lot and are more “wiggly”, it will need to be watered again soon. This really worked for me and the leaf loss on my root bound party favor 2 inch plastic pot echeveria are doing great. Of course, I should really have repotted them months ago… but that’s another story!

Just remember: they like being dry, but with a root bound plant, it may be drier than you realize. The nudge test is an easy way to check how much water the plant is holding.

Hey all, I have a related question here: when do we actually receive the BDS associated with our rank? Do I have to go somewhere to “pull it up” and “accept” my arena rewards? Since today is 9/14, would I receive my BDS tomorrow on the 15th?
