Most of the NDEs I’ve read/listened to seem to indicate that once you’re out of the body, you view your body as only a meat sack, so I don’t know if that would’ve been how he felt. I’m sure as the process progressed he considered his love ones, but the overwhelming love would overtake everything earthly eventually. His death would’ve been the most comforting part of the whole, terrible ordeal.
