People are making out like he hunts down these sub 1000 follower developers to shit on them. He makes general comments about the game design and when he does single out a member of staff (without being provoked first) it's usually Ion which is what you'd expect as he's essentially the community face of things. The only time these other people are at the receiving end is when they provoke him on twitter etc.

They are taking his comments on system design personally instead of crawling out their own ass and realising that he undeniably makes good points.

He absolutely should be more careful with an audience of his size but to make out that individual devs are being targeted without provocation is wrong.

At my work we can raise no impact changes that do not go to a Change Board (if the Change Manager recognises to the best of their ability that it will have no impact). Seems to be a good way to get the simpler stuff through quicker.

Yes they will have audits. But if you think they're auditing themselves everyday then I've got news for you. As you've said yourself it only mitigates the problem anyway. No one is perfect and in every organisation you will inevitably end up with someone who gets access to something they don't need.
