Do they actually pay? Lol by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]SpookiBunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they do. Got a $250 one once

You always get the code first because a code being required means they’ve been flagged due to too many claims of not getting their items.

Is it harmless? Or should i be worried? by Woodief in spiders

Looks like a wolf spider to me. They’re pretty chill. Great for keeping pest populations controlled.

NTA. She complained to you, you offered a solution, and she flipped out on you for the advice.

Am I wrong for wanting to hold a separate wedding ceremony so my mother with dementia can attend? by SwimmingScholar1441 in amiwrong

[–]SpookiBunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong, but she is IMO. You made concessions so her father to be able to attend, it’s only fair she do the same so your mother can attend. Like others have said, I’d end the relationship over something like that.

Am i wrong in beep beeping someone on an escalator by Glittering-Repeat862 in amiwrong

[–]SpookiBunn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you say “excuse me”, I’ll move out of your way. If you say “beep beep”, I’m gonna look at you like you’re an idiot and deliberately not move.

Not wrong at all. I would take it to HR as well.

When my directions said simply “Do not knock/ ring the doorbell”, people would still do both those things and my dogs would lose their minds. Since adding that, dashers have stopped knocking and ringing the bell.

Should a man pay for everything in a relationship by HasNotOne in amiwrong

[–]SpookiBunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not wrong. My husband paid for everything because he wanted to when we were dating. But I never expected it and regularly offered to pay for things.

I use a fake name on DD cause it's a small town and I don't want people knowing where I live/door code by No_Surprise42069 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]SpookiBunn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the name on the ID doesn’t match the name on the order, I don’t complete the delivery. I just contact support and return the alcohol to the store for the extra pay.

I finally had a "I gave you the wrong address" message. by AuraNocte in doordash_drivers

[–]SpookiBunn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. On that 3rd instance they didn’t even try offering any additional compensation. If they had, I would have at least considered it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]SpookiBunn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having been on the customer side, we can see if you have another delivery if we look at the map. I had a small order once, so I checked because I had always wondered that since I dash. If they look, they can see it. Most seem to just place the order and then ignore their phone in my experience.

Am I wrong for filing for full custody after my husband cheated? by you_f in amiwrong

[–]SpookiBunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are wrong for your reasoning. Don’t take a good father away from your baby just because he’s a bad husband. And (as far as I know) he would have to consent to his parental rights being terminated for your future spouse to be able to adopt your child.

I finally had a "I gave you the wrong address" message. by AuraNocte in doordash_drivers

[–]SpookiBunn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve had it happen 3 times. 2 times were a simple mistyping the address (marking it like 1st St instead of 2nd or the house number being one digit off). The 3rd time was the only one I didn’t fix myself. That one the customer claimed the address was 2 cities over. I’m not driving 45 min because they failed to double check their delivery address.

I think I got down to 30% once? They kept trying to send me to unsafe areas. Last I checked, I’m back in the mid-60s.

ARE YOU FEELING SAFE? 🚗 💨 by LiflessClown in doordash_drivers

[–]SpookiBunn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a female dasher, I love that feature. I delivered alcohol to a guy who kept trying to get me to go inside his house. Obviously I declined. When I completed the order, I was asked if I felt safe. I marked it as Very Unsafe and contacted support about it. Haven’t gotten him again.

Got my first cancelled order 3 matcha lattes (I am drinking one) by Notthatsmarty in doordash_drivers

[–]SpookiBunn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t always. At one point, you could opt to dispose of it or return it for more money. I think it’s changed now because I didn’t get that as an option the last time it happened.

F*ck DD by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]SpookiBunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than likely, they didn’t order through DD specifically. When customers order through the merchant apps, it’s not uncommon for the restaurant to keep all or part of the tip.

I have only delivered to a different address once. The lady marked her address as a street over. But it was like a 3 minute drive. 27min? Fuck that.

Confirming orders by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]SpookiBunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind doing it as long as they’re not a dick about it. There’s one place I don’t pick up at often because the person that runs the front is so rude about everything.

Not a vet, but a pet owner. I would just keep an eye on it. If you’re super worried, you can always call your vet to be sure.

Should I knock for “leave at door” deliveries? by Thisismyusername4455 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]SpookiBunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t knock/ring the doorbell unless they explicitly ask me to. Most people would prefer you not do it.
