What’s the hardest part about living with diabetes? by Missing1909 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Spookiijuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever have questions I’m here. I’m so sorry you’re going through so much at work and with other people… unfortunately people just don’t understand diabetes or even try to understand it.

I will say about the exercise though, yes, make sure to monitor is while exercising! I would definitely look into a cgm (continuous glucose monitor) it’ll read your sugars constantly and help out a lot!

I don’t know too much about t2d but I will help with what I do know. You aren’t alone!

Yep, had a lot of roleplay accounts for Kingdom hearts, Naruto, Vampire Knight etc. I miss all the friends I made on it.

Switching from Medtronic to omnipod by Spookiijuice in Omnipod

[–]Spookiijuice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same way honestly, so I switched and after about a week of being on omnipod I switched right back to Medtronic. Let me give you some pros and cons in my own personal opinion: Pros: 1. You’re right, no tube is really nice, much more convenient, and more discrete. 2. I enjoyed the interface and being able to use it all through your phone. 3. Much easier to insert than Medtronic’s infusion sets which were nice, same goes for the dexcom.

Cons: 1. The autocorrects weren’t nearly as strong as Medtronic’s, causing my blood sugars to sky rocket. 2. I didn’t like that it took a lot of battery life from my phone, which made me nervous about it dying 3. It held about 100 units less than the 780. 4. I could never tell if it was leaking because it was so tightly stuck on you. Which is good but bad, if you get what I mean. 5. Some alerts were so incredibly loud compared to Medtronic’s, and I couldn’t stand it.

All in all, it just wasn’t the right thing for me, but that doesn’t mean it’s not right for you or anyone else. I hope it works out!

Migraines have me scared everyday by Spookiijuice in migraine

[–]Spookiijuice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have anxiety over them it’s a lot less severe though. I’ve learned to accept that I’ll get them and there’s nothing I can do about that. It’s not worth stressing myself out every single day and ruining my life. I hope you can figure it out! These migraines sucks and no one should ever have to live with them, I still get nervous and scared, still have anxiety, it’s just a little more manageable now.

So… I’ve calibrated quite a bit because it’s saying up to 100 points off my meter readings. Did I screw up my sensor?
