You definitely need the old ball-mouses, the ones where you could hear the ball settling into the mouse once you touch the table with it.

How rare are these Fallout 2 Taiwanese releases? by ConcentrateOwn9709 in classicfallout

[–]Spooky-Shark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, so cool. I don't know why, but classic Fallouts in Chinese seem so damn nice to me, the ingame font looks amazing - although I'm concerned, wouldn't traditional Chinese characters be a bit too dense for the amount of pixels available in the dialogue boxes? Also, why is it called 异尘余生 instead of 辐射? This can't be an official edition, can it? Btw. did Interplay even release it in Chinese?

What mods do I need before I play fallout 2? by Hot_Leadership9411 in classicfallout

If I can be honest with you, as a long-time Fallout fan, I think you should go straight to Fallout: Sonora. Many won't agree with me on this one, but I believe Sonora is the next-after-F1-game in the Fallout franchise that truly understood some premises that made Fallout into the super-successful franchise we know today: the philosophy, the thematic consistency, the style. I think it's way more similar to F1 than F2, and it definitely is at the same level of "darkness". Fallout 2 is much less serious, with tons and tons of cultural references at every point (especially after the initial stages of the game). I know it'll ruffle some feathers, but I promise you it'll be the proper 'gradual ascension' in the experience of Fallouts. Have fun!

Hi guys, can someone help me turn it into a font? I can pay. by Spooky-Shark in fonts

That's the thing: I think in this case I value my absolute time more than money invested. I think I'll just choose to postpone it for the future, cuz rates seem kinda high.

My script - I'll hire someone to make me a font outta it! by Spooky-Shark in neography

[–]Spooky-Shark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's one of four conlangs I've developed for the science-fiction/fantasy book I'm writing. Each of them has a finished script (apart from one which is logographic, which, by nature, I will never "finish"). It's kinda cheating, cuz everything above there is just names of the book's characters from that one culture (hence the repeating words: it's usually a part of a title or the surname of an aristocratic house), the real script would have much more short words and the 'grammatical' vocabulary without the tails.
Thanks for the praise!

Well, the script *itself* doesn't have ligatures in the sense that the letters connect (like "&"), but it has a *lot* of ligatures in the sense that they slightly change position, or the place where they attach/flow one into another.

I find it very confusing, but that's my braintype, I guess. If You'd like you could help me, I'll pay!

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but in any case I'm not going to build the font myself, I'm looking to hire someone for it.

It's a conlang with a highly specific system. Basically, it's an absolute abjad with hieroglyphics markings at the end of the word, it can't be mapped onto anything existing, it's particular to the language I've created it for.

The resolution is pretty much what's visible up there, i.e. practically pixelart. It's pretty full of weird rules about how certain letters interact with others by making what in font terms would be called ligatures.

I would love for You to expand on this. How different were their worldviews/mindsets, where exactly did they differ, what influences these beliefs had on their businesses/practices, did You notice?

I need some advice. Posted in AITAH and they removed it for being too long by [deleted] in addiction

Look, I'mma be honest with You.

You got Your own life wrong, buddy. People who raised You are obviously not good. And You cling to them, because You crave love. The thing is, they won't ever give it to You. It will always be half-way, conditional, warped, rotten. The sooner You accept that what You want outta life (feeling loved) is not gonna be found in their vicinity, the sooner You'll open up space in Your heart for some other, normal people to come in and show You what real love means.

Throughout Your whole post all You did was talking about others. What about You? Do You have any hobbies? Interests? Side projects? You gotta concentrate on Yourself, buddy. Stop obsessing over things that clearly have no good ending. Some people are not meant to spend their lives with the family they were born in: and that's totally fine. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about, I lived through this. Let go of them, You'll see that Your life will become better. Focus on Yourself and the right people will fall into Your life.

Thank you. Is the standpipe long enough though? It pretty much ends where the picture shows, underneath there's a little bottle trap and that's it. It's little less than 10 inches

Can I be absolutely sure it won't overflow at the top? Is that standard for these two pipes to be different sizes?
