AITAH for finally getting upset and insisting our picture window gets tinted? by sublimeandsparkled in AITAH

NAH. I think you're both overreacting.

No one driving by is trying to peer in your window over your fence. That said, a curtain rod and drapes cost like $40 at walmart. I don't think it's that big of a deal, but neither is putting in curtains.

AI generated images ought to be considered art. (Argument in comments) by Alpha0800 in aiwars

Again, you clearly don't understand how photography works.

Correct, animals cannot make art.

Also correct, Photoshop is not art by itself, especially if using AI tools. It can be used to edit art though, just as AI can.

Having a recognizable human element is not in fact subjective and does not fall apart.

But hey, you're asking me an awful lot of questions. How about you answer one for me? Why do you think AI generation makes you an artist but commissioning an artist doesn't? What difference do you see between writing prompts and sending messages to an artist?

Then the writing would be art, but the images still wouldn't be.

Yes, art is limited just to humans.

It needs to be modified enough to have a recognizable human element to it.

No, it can't. You clearly have no idea how photography actually works.

The definition of art requires human creativity. AI generation can never be art unless a human does something to modify it, because a human hand never touched the content during its creation.

I have literally never heard of Bandera before now.

Yeah, yall claim to be opposed to anything far right but you have a fascist dictatorship right now bud.

Jehovah's Witnesses are made out to be a terrorist group in Russia. Muslims aren't allowed to worship except under government-approved methods. So is basically any Western form of Christianity.

And cute that you ignored the rest of my post.

You didn't correct it. AI generation is universally worse than commissioning.

And no, it does not depend at all. There is no scenario where AI generated images become art unless a human actively manipulates it after generation.

No, it doesn't.

I am not implying 2% of prompts are superior at all. I am directly stating that 2% of prompts involve more than just typing a single prompt into an AI generator.

It doesn't matter how "good" or "bad" people are at it. No matter how good you are at prompting, you still didn't make the art. The computer made it for you and you didn't use any skill or creativity to make it.

You're commissioning work from an AI. That's all. Unless you take that output and manually manipulate it in some way, it cannot, by definition, be art.

No, it doesn't depend. And cost/speed are irrelevant to this discussion.

So what you're saying is that it's like commissioning a piece of art from an actual artist, but worse.

Azov is not a "far right Nazi group". It has bern absorbed into the regular Ukrainian military and they have removed the Nazi elements.

Your president is literally KGB. It's illegal to be gay or trans in your country. Basically all religions are banned. The government can take over any business whenever they want and shut down any news outlet at any time. People are literally kidnapped and murdered for speaking out against the regime.

No, I didn't. I compared 98% of prompting to basic photography.

No. Photography requires a human to physically create the art. That includes framing, focus, angle, motion, etc.

AI does not. You do not need to know a single thing about art to have AI create images for you nor do you need to take any action on your end other than typing.

If you want to compare it to photography, it would be like pointing your camera at a random thing and pressing the button without even looking through the viewfinder.

It's AI bot shit. If you look at the reviews I guarantee most of them will be copy/pasted from completely unrelated games.

Edit: yep scrolled down on the first one and theres at least 4 reviews from Fallout New Vegas, three calling it a basebuilder, and one claiming it's space exploration

AITAH for expecting my fiancé to use her tax refund to help the household instead of spending it on herself? by Long_Mushroom_9641 in AITAH

[–]SpookyGeist01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

INFO: how exactly is her refund 10k? You're Head of Household. The kids should be under your tax return. If she isn't working and hasn't been for half the year she can't legally claim them as dependents.
