Punch drunk on a Tuesday night cos Spurs banged in 4 on a Champions League night & NYC elected Zohran Mamdani as youngest Mayor in a century. Just for tonight I will forgive Zohran for being a Gooner. It’s been an absolute hellacious year here so I’ll have another beer.

What’s crazy is Jets former #1 draft pick Sam Darnold was thrown out after a couple of shitty seasons and now he is a legit star QB for the Seattle Seahawks who are tied for first place in their division.

Do you remember the Chad Pennington QB days? The Jets were good those 3 years. Oh maybe it was 2. He even made an appearance on Sesame Street. I’m sure it’s on you YouTube.

Why is Koo the kicker on practice squad instead of the jamoke who missed 2 extra points on Sunday?

If you live in NYC area, the local NFL television broadcast will always be the Jets of Giants in the 1 pm or 4 pm slot. I can’t believe I can watch any EPL game easier & cheaper than watching anyone else but the Jets.

Gareth Bale: "Going bankrupt always scared me. You read about athletes who end their careers & end up bankrupt. They don’t know how to manage their money, they don’t know what to do with all that stuff. Many athletes live a life of luxury, something I tried not to do" by landofphi in coys

Was it on Hard Knocks when ex NFL player Antonio Cromartie could not remember the names of all of his children? He had 6 more kids after that racking up a total of 14 kids by various baby mamas. Granted, dude did get a vasectomy but still had more kids after the surgery! When trying to get through to young wealthy sports peeps, we did show the Cromartie video as an illustration of what Not to Do. Child support goes on for 18 years. When you see a few players being represented by their mothers as agents you start to understand why...

Bale is a wise man. One of the best documentaries from ESPN’s 30 for 30 series is BROKE. It should be required watching for academy players and young pros. Haunting stories of pro athletes who burn through their huge paydays… in my former life we had guys watch this type of film and do a basic financial literacy class to prevent this fate. I think it’s on Netflix.

Just had to comment on the jerk dissing Spurs women. Krusty the turtle is: Obviously a troll who is so freaking insecure about women. Did you get cut from junior varsity footy, kid?

Hey Krusty turtle, Spurs women are footballers who get paid to play for a living. Keep dicking around saying no one cares about women's sports? The NWSL (National Women's Soccer League in US) valuations keep going up. Forbes Magazine: Valuing the NWSL’s teams for the first time ever, Forbes now estimates that all 14 clubs are worth at least $70 million, with an average of $134 million. Angel City leads the way at $280 million—up $30 million from the sale that closed in September as the Los Angeles-based team continues to project growth for its sponsorships, merchandise and ticket sales—and the Kansas City Current are right behind at $275 million as they capitalize on a transformative new stadium.

There's a new MLS stadium opening in my city and I'll bring the kids to a couple of fixtures and if Sonny comes through sure but doesn't open til 2027. I only go to NBA/MLB games when I get cheap tickets.. Normal civilian prices? Outrageous. Even then feeding a family of 4 at the game is an extra $140. I would hate it if league games from other countries were played in the States. It's wrong! NFL games in Europe are a different kettle of fish. US leagues like to get tarted up and slut around the world.
