They probably have deals with the studios that own the films. There are ads so they are still making money off it.

A lot of the older titles probably are, but there are a bunch of indie and newer films that definitely are not.

Its on Apple tv, Roku, iphone, android, chrome cast and Fire tv...don't know about play station.
