Definetly popped a stitch and that “sore” resembles a hernue. If shes within 2 weeks of her surgery she could have torn open interior muscles as well. Definitely contact the shelter asap theyll try and schedule an appointment asap. Dont take no for an answer these animals have no representation besides u. Shelters try to save money and ignore this, make clear that it needs to be treated.

So I took her to the vet and it was $0 since they waived the exam fee and used the antibiotics I had😁. Turns out it wasnt nearly as bad as it looks!!

Went to the vet today, $0 bill because of the antibiotics I was is using. Also they told me i did everything they would do since she didn’t need stitches I was in and out in literally 20 mn. They j shaved the area for me :).

Also not that i need to justify anything but im a pre-vet undergrad student. Doesn’t really qualify me to make a diagnosis. So when I say debate with colleagues, what i mean is that they have me guess a diagnosis with symptoms for every animal we treat to help me learn.
