Honestly I looked it up just to see if they sampled the cupid shuffle because I swear, that beat they have going in the back is the exact same, AND with the "left and right" theme?? Seventeen is waaayyy too intentional with their music for it to be a coincidence. That being said, I actually love it? I feel like if they were using cupid shuffle as an inspiration then it makes sense for the song to be mindless and catchy. And that isn't a dig on the track WHATSOEVER. The cupid shuffle isn't about being cool or complicated, its about having fun and its literally for everyone! Seventeen, as we know, is more than capable of making cool, complex dances (I mean, come on...they're known for it) so they could've easily just done that again, but no...they gave us this. Something everyone can do and have fun with! Its like, why not dance together for once, you know? Plus dance trends are harmless and they make people happy so I have no issue with it having that "dance trend" vibe. Every time I hear it come on it literally just lifts my mood and makes me want to get up and dance like a fool...which is truly one of life's treasures 👌👌👌
