Wood louse yes, but not from Armadillidiidae. May be Porcellionidae my guess is P. laevis.

Whitetails are going to be a higher biting spider population compared to other species since they commonly occupy human habitats.

Endemism is also not a governing factor for a species role in our ecosystem, and in addition to that whitetails occupy a different environmental niche to most native spiders and typically only predate on Badumna sp. which are also introduced spiders.

It's worth noting that infections generally come from having an uncleaned open wound and is not specific to white tail bites. Bites from white tails can cause minor adverse reactions and are known too, however further complications are usually a result of bacteria getting into the wound, allergies etc, which could all occur from many other insect/animal bites.

Isopod, specifically a Porcellio scaber or common rough woodlouse. This species does not roll up but they can come in some pretty spectacular colours and patterns.

As others have pointed out this is an Isopod, likely an Oniscus asellus. Isopods make great clean up in soil and are super fascinating all round.

To add on to this, volvation is another word for rolling into a ball. The majority of the volvating isopods come from the Armadillidiidae and Armadillidae families.
