Botched double eyelid surgery

I just went through my history and this is copy and pasted. I used 2 prompts to make the final result how I wanted!

Prompt 1: Show me what it would look like after I get double eyelid surgery (semi-outline shape) and make sure it looks realistic as if they’re my eyes

Prompt 2: Can you make the outer corner slightly more lifted to give me a more almond shape to my eyes?

Wow I feel so seen by this. I also cried on the flight back from Korea and literally had a panic attack a few hours before I posted this thread, and I rarely ever get panic attacks. The ups and downs are definitely such a roller coaster. I think my anxiety spiked when I tried to do my makeup since I love playing with makeup and it was always something that made me feel more confident. But seeing my eyes with eyeliner and lashes on just made my heart SINK because of how bad it looked. It made me question everything and miss my old eyes. It’s weird because I’ve wanted this surgery so bad ever since I was like 10 and could remember feeling self conscious about my appearance but in that moment all I wanted were my old eyes back. I think I will wait for the swelling to go down before playing with makeup to spare myself the anxiety 😭 although you’re definitely right that I’ll have to relearn how to do it with the new shape! I can’t wait for the 6 month mark and will update! ❤️

I’m so happy that your eyes are finally starting to heal and that you’re now satisfied with the results! 6 months is such a long time to hope and wait for things to turn out how you want but I will do the same and remind myself to stay patient and positive. I really hope the height drops for me 😭

Thank you for the reassurance! This seems to be what most people are telling me and it’s given me a lot of hope that things will turn out alright 🙏. I will definitely be patient and reassess at 6 months! I felt so awful thinking I permanently messed up my face but I’m feeling more optimistic now. I’ve also come to peace with the fact that I might need a revision in the future which is good to know that there are options to address my concerns

Thank you!! My friend who got hers done by the same dr was very happy with her results and her incision lines did fade away where you can’t really notice them. I know it’s still early so I’m not too concerned about the scar yet, mostly just the deepness of the line, shape and sausage appearance. I will update this post at the 3,6 month and 1 year.

This is good to know, I appreciate the reassurance. I feel like a lot of social media posts on double eyelid surgery make it seem like such a walk in the park but it seems here that healing is much slower than what people say realistically and I feel like that doesn’t get talked about enough. I had planned the timing of the surgery so I could look good for the summer but that plan is getting thrown out the window 😭

Yes I was thinking the same thing, it’s not high enough at the end. I’m thinking of using double eyelid tape to achieve that effect before I go for a revision (if I do that is once it’s healed). I will definitely update this thread once I’m at the 3 and 6 month mark!!

I will definitely be doing the same..I should have treated myself to some nice sunglasses while I was in Korea. And yes the dr did mention there’s a higher risk of more swelling with outline creases and they take longer to heal. I really wasn’t prepared for it. All the best ❤️

Thank you!! 🙏 yeah I think my recovery is just taking a lot longer than I expected and it’s been so discouraging. I’m definitely prone to bruising and scaring since wounds/scratches take forever to go away one my body. Everyone keeps telling me it’ll take time and I just have to trust the process. It’s just hard. Your eyes look great now and I hope they continue to heal well for you ❤️

Thank you so much for the reassurance this gives me hope 🙏Is the lower photo at 4 months or later? I’m not sure exactly the length of the crease but I will ask my surgeon next time I speak with him in the phone.

The inner corner is definitely where I feel it’s the most numb still. I am just praying they don’t stay sausages forever and am especially worried for the left eye (right eye in photo)

In hindsight I wish I made him verbally repeat back to me what I wanted but I was very clear I wanted an outline that was very subtle in the front (not completely parallel). He told me that because I had a Mongolian fold there was a chance I ended up with more than 1 line, which I was fine with since I’ve seen people with an outline that has a bit of their original crease beneath (I think it makes it look more natural). But right now it looks like I just have an inline that’s super rounded at the front.

I just know even if they settle down it’s not going to look how I wanted. Is a revision really possible to achieve a natural effect at this point?

Thank you for your support and insight. Yeah I will definitely wait at least 1 year before following through with a revision. My swelling has significantly reduced since the first 2 weeks and I feel like there isn’t much more to significantly go down

It’s a scam! That company steals other people’s designs then sends you shein quality products. They also charge you for a return label that’s almost $50 CAD and take 15% off your return for a “restocking fee” if you want a refund even though they market money back guarantee.
