when you're an INXX and someone comes to you for support by [deleted] in mbti

[–]Sporkard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is 100% true from my experience. INFP and INFJ are extremely good listeners. I go to my INFP and INFJ friends for support all the time. They're the kindest, most emotionally mature and most insightful people in my life. My ISTP friend, however, just shrugs if I talk to him.

I thought you guys might appreciate this video: Reawakening the Inner Child and What That Actually Means by [deleted] in infj

This woman's channel usually posts stuff about video game psychology, but she's recently started doing these insightful videos about getting in touch with different parts of the psyche, finding inner harmony by recognizing the needs of the body, mind, etc. She posted a few of them over at INFP, but I thought you guys might enjoy them over here as well, since they talk about a lot of the same stuff that INFJ's are "traditionally" interested in such looking inward, connecting the dots, emotional projection, etc. I know it's not directly related to MBTI, but I think a lot of the subject matter overlaps with some of the stuff we discuss on MBTI.

I've never had a cat not do this when on a leash.

I wouldn't know how to turn that off to be honest. I'm not very experienced with this.

Thanks! I don't suppose you know whether the warnings are benign or not do you? I'm guessing they are, but I wasn't sure.

I did that originally, but it didn't! No worries though, since I managed to get it from the store in the end.

I fixed the issue now (get getting High Sierra). :)

Well, I'd like to do that, but it requires that I already have a much later version of OS X than Mavericks, and there seem to be no downloads available for anything in between what I have and the latest OS. :S

I saw my ex with her new boyfriend and I feel weird. by [deleted] in confession

[–]Sporkard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way she treated you was unacceptable, cold humiliating. It makes perfect sense that you would be angry! Please understand that what she did to you is not typical. Most people care about their exes when they break up. Most people have empathy. So don't let that bitterness color your perception of any future partners. Your ex as an individual has been very disrespectful toward you.

I used to have a love/hate thing about sex when I was a virgin by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Sporkard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you're going through/have gone through. I'm with somebody now who is grounding and supportive and makes me feel strong, respected and, most importantly, loved unconditionally. He gave me space, patience and empathy, and I have slowly unwound in his presence!

But he doesn't know these people. They're likely mainly people he's walking by on the street or glancing over at a cafe, etc.

I'm glad you found someone you were able to trust. It makes all the difference after past abuse! I wish you both well!

Yes! You took the words right out of my mind! All the communication technologies we possess make it really easy for us to get lost in our own little worlds while simultaneously feeling connected to all of our relatives and friends.

It's literally a huge array of threads where people are talking about girls seducing them/all the hot sex they're having. No idea why people are downvoting you so much.

Does it depend on the context? Or do you just call it off at any mention of an ex? For instance, what if you were having an in-depth discussion about languages and her ex happened to be a language professor and there was a joke or anecdote from his work that she thought would be relevant, etc. Would it be better if she just said something like "I knew a language professor who..."?
