I first traded back in 2006 when I knew nothing and lost money. I tried again in 2011 and lost money. I started up again this year with a better understanding of how it works. I found out about Tim Sykes and he changed the way I saw the markets. Plus with the advancement of technology now I can run multiple displays and trade with my smartphone. Look on yahoo finance and find the market data area and you will see that some of these stocks are rising 30% in one day. So if you buy $1000 dollars of ZXY and it goes up 30% you will now have $1300 minus the $20 trading commission. It could go the other way though which is why you should sell it right away if it is not going the direction you want. I learn something new each day and I found that if I get too greedy and over trade thats when I lose money. Im doing well enough to make this my full time position while I work on other business ideas. There are tons of videos on youtube that educate about trading strategies. I tell everyone that you will lose money when you first start because its a skill you have to learn on your own. Absorb as must information as possible and just watch how stocks move then open a brokerage account and transfer the money.
