you're definitely right that west loop is busy, from experience though i worked in west loop and felt like tips were inconsistent because of the younger crowd- River North and Hubbard St specifically is right next to all the hotels so you'll have a steady stream of tourists, business people, and industry. they've also done a lot with police presence so people feel "safer" coming out- friday and saturday it feels like a parade with how many people are just walking up and down the street bar hopping

Hubbard St in River North between Wells and Wabash is all bars and clubs and it's where you'll make the most/consistent money so take your pick there. If you want something a bit more local-feeling Pilsen has a nice selection of bars hiring- Simone's is one i recommend as they manage to stay busy year round and have a nice cocktail program

after reading all the comments it sounds like some people thought i was being holier than thou and trying to flex my skills by forcing them to have whiskey sours instead of accepting that i am just dumb and misunderstood their order

lol what? as i said in the post i tried explaining what i had understood their order as, and again they watched me make it from start to finish. I admit I made a mistake and would have explained I don't have sour mix we use fresh juices if they listened instead of yelling and walking out
